Data-driven Block Ciphers for Fast Telecommunication Systems
The Most Progressive and Complete Guide to DDO-Based Ciphers
Developers have long recognized that ciphers based on Permutation Networks (PNs) and Controlled Substitution-Permutation Networks (CSPNs) allow for the implementation of a variety of Data Driven Operations (DDOs). These DDOs can provide fast encryption without incurring excessive hardware costs in modern telecommunication networks. However, until now, with a few exceptions, most DDO-based ciphers have been poorly represented in available literature and have continued to remain known to only a small number of encryption experts.

Extrusion Dies for Plastics and Rubber: Design and Engineering Computations
Neil Gershenfeld “Extrusion Dies for Plastics and Rubber: Design and Engineering Computations"
Walter Michaeli | 2003-08 | ISBN: 1569903492 | PDF | 362 pages | 22,2 Mb
Reader's rewiew:This book helps explain a lot of the basics of how extrusion dies are optimized for superior cooling and flow performance. It gets into a good level of detail but is not written with too high a required knowledge going into the book. It is useful for any entry level engineer or tool designer in understanding more about the process. I purchased this as I work in the plastics industry and desired to get a more in depth mathematical understanding in order to solve some real extrusion problems, such as warping during cool.
The book starts with basics of material properties and how they interact with extrusion. It then goes into basic flow equations, not much more than you probably got in college, but then expands it to topics such as Melt Fracture. Then it goes into the CFD, or flow field, part when they talk about optimizing shape of the die to improve the velocity profile.
The meat of this book is in its discussion of various die designs for monoextrusion and coextrusion of thermoplastics and elastomers. There is then a short 10 page section on heating of the die.
The ending is on basics of calibration, operation, mechanical design, and maintaining of dies.

Superconductor/Semiconductor Junctions
Thomas Schäpers, «Superconductor/Semiconductor Junctions»Springer | ISBN: 354042220X | PDF | 2,84 Mb | 145 Pages | 2001 Year
This book describes superconductor/two-dimensional-electron-gas (2DEG) structures with the aim of providing a better understanding of their transport properties. The two-dimensional electron gas used for the structures described here is buried either in a III-V semiconductor heterostructure or in an inversion layer at the surface. First, the properties of a single superconductor/2DEG structure are discussed on the basis of Andreev reflection and the proximity effect. Then, the properties of superconductor/2DEG Josephson junctions are treated. The last part of the book discusses the control of junctions using gate electrodes or injection currents, and the physical effects observed in these junctions.

Modern Processor Design: Fundamentals of Superscalar Processors (Electrical and Computer Engineering)
Modern Processor Design: Fundamentals of Superscalar Processors is an exciting new first edition from John Shen of Carnegie Mellon University & Intel and Mikko Lipasti of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. This book brings together the numerous microarchitectural techniques for harvesting more instruction-level parallelism (ILP) to achieve better processor performance that have been proposed and implemented in real machines. Other advanced techniques from recent research efforts that extend beyond ILP to exploit thread-level parallelism (TLP) are also compiled in this book. All of these techniques, as well as the foundational principles behind them, are organized and presented within a clear framework that allows for ease of comprehension.
This text is intended for an advanced computer architecture course or a course in superscalar processor design. It is written at a level appropriate for senior or first year graduate level students, and can be used by professionals as well.

Communication and Cooperation in Agent Systems: A Pragmatic Theory
Afsaneh Haddadi “Communication and Cooperation in Agent Systems: A Pragmatic Theory" Springer | 1996-04-30 | ISBN: 3540610448 | PDF | 148 pages | 7,6 Mb
This book is devoted to the design and analysis of techniques enabling intelligent and dynamic cooperation and communication among agents in a distributed environment. A flexible theoretical formalism is developed in detail and it is demonstrated how this approach can be used for the design of agent architectures in practice. The formal part of this work is based on a variant of the BDI logic introduced by Georgeff and Rao. This book, for the first time, outlines this formalism in some depth. The most important practical benefit provided is the concept of cooperation protocols allowing the representation of various methods of cooperation and possible patterns of dialogue.

Book Description:Sustainability is a key driving force for industries in the chemical, food, packaging, agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors, and quantitative sustainability indicators are being incorporated into company reports. This is driving the uptake of renewable resources and the adoption of renewables.
Renewables' can either be the substituted raw materials that are used in a given industry, (e.g. the use of biomass for fuel); the use and/or modification of a crop for use in a new industry (e.g. plant cellulose), or the reuse of a waste product (e.g. organic waste for energy production).
This is the first book in the Wiley Renewable Resources series that brings together the range of sustainability assessment methods and their uses. Ensuing books in the series will look at individual renewable materials and applications.

Applications of Plant Metabolic Engineering
R. Verpoorte, A.W. Alfermann, T.S. Johnson “Applications of Plant Metabolic Engineering" Springer | 2007-11-09 | ISBN: 1402060300 | 332 pages | PDF | 6,1 Mb
Written by leading international experts in the field of plant metabolic engineering, this book discusses, mainly, applications of plant metabolic engineering. Metabolic engineering, which is part of second generation biotechnology, has made several contributions at basic level as well as at conceptualising products ever since its emergence in the early 1980s. Applications resulting from metabolic engineering are expected to play a very important role in future for plant breeding, e.g. for improved resistance or improved traits concerning health promoting constituents, and production of fine chemicals such as medicines, flavors and fragrances.
Considering the tremendous progress that has been made since our first book in the year 2000 urgency was felt to bring together cutting edge research in plant metabolic engineering in applied aspects as a handy reference book. This book has been predominantly dedicated to applied research of metabolic engineering, and a part of it has been allotted for fundamental research that has potential applications. This book is a unique source of information for all those involved with plants as chemical factories of fine chemicals and also to more experienced scientists who work on transgenic plants, besides, senior researchers, graduate students, post-doctroral students, teachers and students as well.
