Digital Signal Processing has undergone enormous growth in usage/implementation in the last 20 years and many engineering schools are now offering real-time DSP courses in their undergraduate curricula. Our everyday lives involve the use of DSP systems in things such as cell phones and high-speed modems; Texas Instruments has introduced the TMS320C6000 DSP processor family to meet the high performance demands of todays signal processing applications.
This book provides the know-how for the implementation and optimization of computationally intensive signal processing algorithms on the Texas Instruments family of TMS320C6000 DSP processors. It is organized in such a way that it can be used as the textbook for DSP lab courses offered at many engineering schools or as a self-study/reference for those familiar with DSP but not this family of processors.
This book provides a restructured, modified, and condensed version of the information in more than twenty TI manuals so that one can learn real-time DSP implementations on the C6000 family in a structured course, within one semester. Each chapter is followed by an appropriate lab exercise to provide the hands-on lab material for implementing appropriate signal processing
functions. These labs are included on the accompanying CD to take the reader through the entire process of C6X code writing.

To succeed in the practice of microelectronics in industry, students must develop the ability to think intuitively about circuits. They need to move beyond simply plugging and chugging numbers in equations and be prepared to face real design trade-offs.
Fundamentals of Microelectronics, Preview Edition helps students develop intuitive techniques so they can design and implement circuits not just analyze them. Using many real-word examples and applications, the text motivates the student to understand the importance of today's microelectronics.
Reviews
Summary: fantastic
Rating: 5
This is book is so clear and very easy to read and showed many hidden concepts to me , and its better than sedra/smith book ,if you want to read sedra's book, you've to read that book first , its very nice , i would give it 10 stars ! i will buy any book by this author , and i wish he writes another books.
Summary: Bipolar material eclipses MOS coverage.
Rating: 3
Dr. Razavi has written almost all of his books in a very beginner level easy to understand format. This book is pretty much the same. I like reading his books and I would say they rank very high amongst similar books. I liked this book a lot but I was expecting more MOS coverage than Bipolar. Also, since this book came out when technologies have changed considerably, I would have expecte

With 191 Figures, 29 Tables and 16 Color Plates.
In today's unsafe and increasingly wired world cryptology plays a vital role in protecting communication channels, databases, and software from unwanted intruders. This revised and extended third edition of the classic reference work on cryptology now contains many new technical and biographical details. The first part treats secret codes and their uses - cryptography. The second part deals with the process of covertly decrypting a secret code - cryptanalysis, where particular advice on assessing methods is given. The book presupposes only elementary mathematical knowledge. Spiced with a wealth of exciting, amusing, and sometimes personal stories from the history of cryptology, it will also interest general readers.

This book treats the Mathematics of many important areas in digital information processing.
It covers, in a unified presentation, five topics: Data Compression, Cryptography, Sampling (Signal Theory), Error Control Codes, Data Reduction. The thematic choices are practice-oriented. So, the important final part of the book deals with the Discrete Cosine Transform and the Discrete Wavelet Transform, acting in image compression. The presentation is dense, the examples and numerous exercises are concrete. The pedagogic architecture follows increasing mathematical complexity. A read-and-learn book on Concrete Mathematics, for teachers, students and practitioners in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics.

This book addresses "front end" questions and issues encountered in using the Verilog HDL, during all the stages of Hardware Design, Synthesis and Verification. The issues discussed in the book are typically encountered in both ASIC design projects as well as in Soft IP designs. These issues are addressed in a simple Q and A format. Since each issue is independently dealt with and explained in detail, this book acts as an important source of reference for the Verilog users. Each of the FAQs will be illustrated with figures and tables as required. The latest Verilog-2001 and SystemVerilog have also been referred to in this book.
With the increasing complexity of ASICs being designed these days, the decisions that one makes in any of the stages of Design, Synthesis or Verification has profound effects on these three stages. This book presents the intricacies of these inter-dependent issues in the context of the Verilog HDL.
Summary: Very good Verilog and hardware design book
Rating: 4
This book tries to do three things: 1) introduce designers to some of the idiosynchrasies and pitfalls of the Verilog language, 2) teach some important basic digital design principles, and 3) go beyond pure functionality and help designers appreciate testability, verification, and emergent system performance issues. It does very well in all, I think. They do not mire themselves down in the detailed syntax or semantics of Verilog except in avoiding the aforementioned pitfalls. On the whole, t
