Alien Legion was an early Epic Comics title about the members of a military unit called Force Nomad, comprised of the "dregs of the universe" and similar to the French Foreign Legion. The cast includes leader Sarigar, whose lower half is serpentine, fully humanoid Torie Montroc, and probably the most popular character, Jugger Grimrod, a Thraxian. Primary creator Carl Potts and co-creators Alan Zelenetz and Frank Cirocco developed the concept, and in 1983 Epic launched the first of several Alien Legion miniseries and one-shots. Collaborators have included writers Chuck Dixon and Larry Stroman and artists Terry Austin, Whilce Portacio, and Scott Hanna, among others.

THE STORY:
Part one of a MAGIC EVENT that spans across the ages. Ian McNee wanted to be the Sorcerer Supreme but was bested by Stephen Strange (MARVEL FANFARE #6). Now a collector of magical and bizarre artifacts in the lower east side of New York, he's on a dangerous quest for four items that he thinks will keep a crazed Ancient Egyptian Priest from resurrection. This issue, the object is the Sword of Bone, and we finally discover the story of what really happened when Magik traveled to Ancient Egypt and met Storm's descendent during NEW MUTANTS #34 in a 22-page story by Louise Simonson and Steve Scott. Plus, Ian McNee comes face-to-face with the sword’s guardian in a special 10-page story by Marvel magic historian David Sexton and Eric Nguyen.

I received an email from the artist, Steve Lieber, today asking that the file be removed from the site. So according to his wishes that is what I have done... he also went on to say: "I put a lot of work into getting those black, white and grey textures and tones to balance just right for reproduction on paper- two whole years of my life- and I really hate the idea of people reading them as digital scans. I just don't think the pages look right that way. I know it sounds fussy, but making comics is what I do and getting it [r]i[gh]t means a lot to me."[sic]... speaking as someone who owns both books, he makes a damn fine point here.

Runaways is a
Marvel Comics comic book series created by
Brian K. Vaughan and
Adrian Alphona. The series features a group of teenagers who try to make up for the evil done by their supervillain parents by becoming
superheroes. They are commonly referred to as "the Pride's kids" or "those kids in L.A." by other characters in the Marvel Universe, due to the team's lack of an official name and the majority of Marvel's characters being based in New York.
In 2006, the series won the
Harvey Award for best continuing/limited series.
In February 2007, series creators
Brian K. Vaughan and
Adrian Alphona left Runaways at issue #24 of the title's second volume. In April 2007, long-time Runaways fan
Joss Whedon (of
Buffy The Vampire Slayer,
Angel and
Firefly fame) signed up to take over the title for 6 issues. Marvel has not announced who (if anyone) will take over Runaways when Whedon leaves. Read

Alien Legion was an early Epic Comics title about the members of a military unit called Force Nomad, comprised of the "dregs of the universe" and similar to the French Foreign Legion. The cast includes leader Sarigar, whose lower half is serpentine, fully humanoid Torie Montroc, and probably the most popular character, Jugger Grimrod, a Thraxian. Primary creator Carl Potts and co-creators Alan Zelenetz and Frank Cirocco developed the concept, and in 1983 Epic launched the first of several Alien Legion miniseries and one-shots. Collaborators have included writers Chuck Dixon and Larry Stroman and artists Terry Austin, Whilce Portacio, and Scott Hanna, among others.
