We all know how Galactus came to eat the earth, and how the Fantastic Four whupped his butt back to space. but in the ULTIMATE Universe, it happens slightly differently. Here Galactus (now renamed as Gah Lak Tus) is a much darker, more powerful bieng: a hive-minded swarm of sentient robots that feeds on planets. And he's heading right for Earth. The saga shows how Nick Fury brings the whole ULTIMATE Universe team together to defeat the threat. Written by famed writer Warren Ellis and with amazing artwork, Gah Lak Tus is a series that could give Annihilation itself a run for its money. And, like Annihilation, the saga is divided into different stories, in four parts:
1. Ultimate Nightmare:
The saga begins with a very deceptive start, as Xavier and Jean Grey intercept some psychic signals and the professor sends Jean, Wolverine and Colossus to find and rescue the mutant. At the same time, responding to a worldwide communcations disruption, Nick Fury leads Falcon, Black Widow and Captain America to the same location. Both teams find Vision, former herald of Gah Lak Tus who had come with a warning, trapped there underground. Both groups clash and things go straight to hell. All they can make sense from Vision's rambling is three words in an alien language: Gah. Lak. Tus.

2. Ultimate Secret:
A new character, named Mahr Vehl, an alien Kree sent to study the feeding manner of Gah Lak Tus, makes his appearance. He defects to humanity and warns Fury of what's coming, and Fury starts preparing. He pulls together Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and Thor to attack a Kree mothership and get info on Gah Lak Tus.

3. Ultimate Vision:
Vision, now revived, shows Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, what Gah Lak Tus is and what it does. Ultimate Vision ran only in the last few pages of other comics like Ultimate Spiderman and Ultimate FF, and was not an independent issue. The whole story has been combined into a single CBR file, ~10 MB.
4. Ultimate Extinction: 
The time has come, and Gah Lak Tus is here. Reed Richards figures out what Gah Lak Tus is, and the army preps up. The story then takes up with - surprise! - Misty Knight of the Heroes For Hire! She finds the Silver Surfer, who tries to kill her, and chaos begins. Fury now calls in EVERYBODY he can, including Xavier, X-men and the Ultimates. A very confused clone army of a dead female assassin appears and starts attacking all of them left, right and center. The Surfer messes with people's minds and riots break out all over the World. In the end Misty, The Ultimates, Iron Man, Fury, X-men, Cap, Falcon, Widow, Mahr Vehl, The FF and everyone else who's got a costume come together to fight the clones, The Surfer, and Gah Lak Tus.
