This manual contains introduction, material selection, design information, processing, and drawing requirements and notes. This is part of the book that Titanium and its alloys are characterized by an excellent strength to weight ratio and high corrosion resistance. Most titanium is procured in the condition in which it is used. Thermal treatment requirements of the procured material are called out as part of the raw material note. Physical and mechanical properties of the various alloys are contained in BDM–4000 series and MIL–HDBK–5. Commercial aircraft fracture properties are contained in D6–24956, D6–24957 D6–24958. FIGURE 1–1 summarizes advantages and limitations of titanium. FIGURE 1–2 lists physical properties and other features of several titanium alloys.

Bridge Design Manual 2000- Hydraulic Design
The book deals with hydraulic design process that begins with the collection of data Necessary to determine the hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics of The site. It provides estimates of peak flood Discharges through the structure. The hydraulic analysis provides Estimates of the water surface elevations required to pass those peaks Flood discharges. Part of this is scour analysis that provides an estimate of the required Depth of bridge foundations. the book covers also risk assessment for all Structures, risks to people, risks to property, or economic.
