Over the centuries it has been refined into a surprising number of variations, from the simplest everyday fare--such as tuna wrapped in vinegared rice and crisp vitamin-rich nori seaweed--to elegant and imaginative sushi created for festive occasions. The centerpiece of this book is Edomae-zushi, the delicate, natural, fresh variety first made in Tokyo in the early nineteenth century and now popular throughout the world.

mp3 Format | 64 kbps | 260.5 MB | 9 HoursBook 4 in the "Odd" series.
When listeners last saw Odd Thomas in the phenomenal New York Times bestseller Brother Odd, he was on the road to a new adventure, accompanied by two otherworldly sidekicks: his dog Boo, and one of the few companions who might rival his old pal Elvis - the Chairman of the Board. After grappling with the very essence of reality, and finding the veil separating him from his soul mate, Stormy Llewellyn, tantalizingly thin yet impenetrable, he longed only to return to his home in Pico Mundo. Instead, haunted by dreams of an all-encompassing red tide, he is drawn on, to the sea, to a small California coastal town where nothing is as it seems and where the forces arrayed against him have both official sanction and an infinitely more sinister authority.

No one could have imagined Odd Thomas ever leaving the perfect quirky comfort of Pico Mundo, least of all Odd himself. The little desert town that nurtured Odd all his life is the locus of everything he holds dear—his loyal friends, his ghostly confidants, and the place where he loved and lost his soul mate, the irreplaceable Stormy Llewellyn. Yet leave it he has, to embrace the solitude and peace of an isolated monastery high in the western mountains as he tries to find a way to live fully again.
But Odd has a knack for finding himself in the path of trouble no matter where he goes—even among the eccentric monks in their sanctuary and with the King of Rock 'n' Roll at his side. For a killer is stalking the ancient holy halls, and Odd is about to encounter an enemy who eclipses any he has yet encountered….

mp3 Format | 24 kbps | 71.9 MBEvery so often a character so captures the hearts and imaginations of readers that he seems to take on a life of his own long after the final page is turned. For such a character, one book is not enough-readers must know what happens next. Now Dean Koontz returns with the novel his fans have been demanding. With the emotional power and sheer storytelling artistry that are his trademarks, Koontz takes up once more the story of a unique young hero and an eccentric little town in a tale that is equal parts suspense and terror, adventure and mystery-and altogether irresistibly odd.
We're all a little odd beneath the surface. He's the most unlikely hero you'll ever meet-an ordinary guy with a modest job you might never look at twice. But there's so much more to any of us than meets the eye-and that goes triple for Odd Thomas. For Odd lives always between two worlds in the small desert town of Pico Mundo, where the heroic and the harrowing are everyday events. Odd never asked to communicate with the dead-it's something that just happened. But as the unofficial goodwill ambassador between our world and theirs, he's got a duty to do the right thing. That's the way Odd sees it and that's why he's won hearts on both sides of the divide between life and death.

mp3 Format | 24 kbps | 86.9 MBFirst book of the "Odd" series
"The dead don't talk. I don't know why." But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn. Maybe he has a gift, maybe it's a curse, Odd has never been sure, but he tries to do his best by the silent souls who seek him out. Sometimes they want justice, and Odd's otherworldly tips to Pico Mundo's sympathetic police chief, Wyatt Porter, can solve a crime. Occasionally they can prevent one. But this time it's different.
A mysterious man comes to town with a voracious appetite, a filing cabinet stuffed with information on the world's worst killers, and a pack of hyena-like shades following him wherever he goes. Who the man is and what he wants, not even Odd's deceased informants can tell him. His most ominous clue is a page ripped from a day-by-day calendar for August 15.

mp3 Format | 24 kbps | 75.6 MBTimothy Carrier, 30, a mason, has a dry sense of humour.
Tim's friend, Rooney, owns a workingman's bar, Lamplighter Tavern, where the eccentric customers inspire Tim's deadpan wit. On a Monday evening, the bar is nearly deserted. A nervous man, about Tim's own age, sits down one stool from Tim, orders a beer. He glances at Tim, then asks, 'Are you him?' His sense of fun engaged, Tim says, 'Who else would I be?' Tim's game is to sustain an oblique conversation until the stranger realizes his mistake. But the man slides a fat manila envelope along the bar. 'Half of it's there. The rest when she's gone.' He walks out, leaving Tim stunned. In the envelope are thick packets of hundred-dollar bills. There's also a photo of a pretty woman, her name and address. Another stranger, an intense-looking man, again about Tim's age, enters the bar, looks around, comes towards Tim, and sits where the first stranger sat. He orders a beer. He says nothing. Tim says nothing. The guy glances at the manila envelope. He's the man who was supposed to get the envelope. He thinks Tim wants to hire him to kill the woman! Shaken, thinking fast, Tim says he's had a change of heart. He removes the picture of the woman from the envelope, puts it aside, closes the envelope, passes it to the stranger. 'Half what we agreed -- for doing nothing. Call it a no-kill fee.' The stranger gives him a sour look, shrugs, takes the envelope, leaves.

These essays suggest that it won't be that simple. The digitization of discourse will not be effected without some wrenching social and cultural dislocations.
The contributors to this volume are enthusiastic about the possibilities created by digital technologies, instruments that many of them have played a role in developing and deploying. But they also see the new media raising serious critical issues that force us to reexamine basic notions about rhetoric, reading, and the nature of discourse itself.

Lecturer in Naturopathy, School of Health Sciences, University of South Australia – City East Campus, Adelaide SA, Australia
Over the past decade, increasing use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), and its integration into mainstream health care, has raised questions about the level of evidence for the safety and efficacy of these interventions. This text is one of an emerging number about evidence-based CAM, and is claimed by the authors to provide readers with a ‘one stop shop' on some of the main CAM interventions in Australia. The book contains three sections and targets practitioners and consumers of CAM.
The first part of the book provides an overview of CAM, and an introduction to several complementary modalities, such as herbal medicine, nutrition and aromatherapy. The second section of the text discusses a number of CAM clinical practice issues, including integrative medicine, safety, preoperative care and cancer. These first two sections introduce CAM and integrative health care for nurses and other health practitioners. The final section of the book presents abridged monographs of 120 CAM products, including nutritional supplements, herbs, essential oils and medicinal foods. Each of these monographs includes details about the history, chemistry, actions, clinical evidence, dosage, and safety of the intervention, as well relevant practice points and frequently asked questions. The appendices are on a CD and include a detailed list of herb-nutrient-drug interactions that is a useful desktop reference for healthcare practitioners.

The Great Train Robbery is a bestselling 1975 historical fiction novel written by Michael Crichton. Originally published in the USA by Alfred A. Knopf (then, a division of Random House), it is currently published by Avon, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. It is the story of the Great Gold Robbery of 1855, a massive gold heist, which takes place on a train traveling through Victorian era England. The great bulk of the book takes place in London.
The story is a mild representation of the historical events that happened, although the setting can be considered quite accurate. For some reason, the character names are mixed up in the novel, for example the main protagonists William Pierce is changed to Edward Pierce and Edward Agar to Robert Agar.

During medical training there are certain parts of day-to-day tasks that are not taught at medical school nor in the traditional reference books. There are some skills that medical students are expected to learn by osmosis while on placement and under the guidance of junior doctors. These skills are never officially taught or examined in medical school. They are, however, a fundamental part of being a safe, good and efficient doctor. This book includes golden rules or important points to remember and case examples, both of which are given as displayed extracts.
This book is designed to help the junior doctor unlock their potential and improve their performance, cutting the time it takes to achieve certain medical objectives. It is meant to fill in the gaps where the medical school and clinical guides stop. It gives the reader the information needed to organise themselves so that they can hit the ground running. It is not intended as a clinical survival guide, but more a friendly hand to allow the reader to get ahead in medicine and how to keep on track and develop a career path.
About the AuthorDr Alan Parbhoo is a Senior Surgical House Officer at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Concerned by how little medical school prepared the average student for the blunt reality of life in a hospital environment, he has written this series of chapters to assist in moving from the medical school to the medical workplace.

It tells the story of historians who travel to the Middle Ages thanks to the work of a brilliant yet unprincipled entrepreneur who plans to use the technology to enhance historical tourist attractions. The book follows in Crichton's long history of combining technical details and action in his books, addressing quantum physics and time travel.
The novel spawned Timeline Computer Entertainment, a computer game developer that created the Timeline PC game published by Eidos Interactive in 2000. A movie called Timeline based on the book was released in 2003.
Plot summary
In 1999, Professor Edward Johnston heads a team of historians and archaeologists studying a site in the Dordogne region of France where the medieval towns of Castelgard and La Roque stood. Suspicious of the detailed knowledge of the site shown by ITC (their funder), Johnston flies to ITC's headquarters in New Mexico to investigate. Soon the archaeologists begin to uncover modern objects in the ruins, recognizing among them lens of Johnston's eyeglasses. Researchers Chris Hughes, Kate Erickson, André Marek (a medieval re-enactor), and David Stern fly to ITC. Here they meet Robert Doniger, the founder of ITC. They learn that Johnston traveled back in time to the year 1357, to vist the site they were excavating, but has not returned as expected. Doniger insists that they travel back in order to retrieve Johnston. They are persuaded to do so and undergo the matter deconstruction process of transferring their physical selves back to 1357.

Chronicling horrific events that brought the 20th century to witness the largest number of systematic slaughters of human beings in any century across history, this work goes beyond historic details and examines contemporary psychological means leaders use to convince individuals to commit horrific actions in the name of a political or military cause. Massacres in Nanking, Rwanda, El Salvador, Vietnam and other countries are reviewed in chilling detail. But the core issue is what psychological forces are behind large-scale killing, what psychology can be used to indoctrinate normal people with a Groupthink that moves individuals to mass murder brutally and without regret, even when the victims are innocent children. Dutton shows us how individuals are convinced to commit such sadistic acts, often preceded by torture, after being indoctrinated with beliefs that the target victims are unjust, inhuman or "viral," like a virus that must be destroyed or it will destroy society.

The herbal form of the drug consists of dried mature flowers and subtending leaves of pistillate (female) plants. The resinous form, known as hashish, consists primarily of glandular trichomes collected from the same plant material. The major biologically active chemical compound in cannabis is Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, commonly referred to as THC.Humans have been consuming cannabis since prehistory, although in the 20th century there was a rise in its use for recreational, religious or spiritual, and medicinal purposes. It is the world's most often used illegal drug. The possession, use, or sale of psychoactive cannabis products became illegal in most parts of the world in the early 20th century. Since then, some countries have intensified the enforcement of cannabis prohibition while others have reduced the priority of enforcement.

In many ways, killing is tied in with movement, and it's vital. The method by which you kill your enemies will change, based on the situation you are in, and on your style.
Firstly, make sure that you are comfortable with the control keys, and are able to quickly select weapons, reload, holster, drop weapons, sneak and lean. These are vital to your success. Secondly, make sure you have the place cased out. Try not to kill people randomly - make sure that there is no one else hanging about, and if there is, that they are preferably out of earshot, but definitely out of vision. Dropping someone when a passer-by ambles past is never a good idea!
Hitmen, cleaners, murderer’s, assassins, professional killers. Very few people ever consider killing as a profession; but for more people than the world’s governments care to admit, killing other people is indeed their profession. Does our government train killers? Of course it does. Every government does. To believe otherwise is stupid. Today, the C.I.A., the D.I.A., the N.S.A., and each special operations branch of our armed forces all maintain elite “termination squads.” Then there is the Mafia, every person on this planet knows about a Mafia of some sort. Mafia hitmen are the most dangerous killers. Patriotism or nationalism doesn’t motivate them. They do it all for money. Fortunately, they are used exclusively in the organized crime communities to kill informants, thieves, traitors, and the like.
Regardless of who their employers be, all pro killers use similar techniques. It is these methods that assassins universally employ that we will learn..

Lock picking is the act of unlocking a lock by analysing and manipulating the components of the lock device, without the original key. Although lock picking can be associated with criminal intent, it is an essential skill for a locksmith. Lock picking is the ideal way of opening a lock without the correct key, while not damaging the lock, allowing it to be rekeyed for later use, which is especially important with antique locks that would be impossible to replace if destructive entry methods are used.
Usually it is possible to bypass a lock without picking it. Most common locks can be quickly and easily opened using a drill, bolt cutters, bump key, or a hydraulic jack. The hasp, door, or fixture they are attached to can be cut, broken, or otherwise removed.
A lock that offers high resistance to picking does not necessarily make unauthorized access more difficult, but it will make surreptitious unauthorized access more difficult. They are often used in combination with alarms to provide layered security.
Some people enjoy picking locks recreationally, because they find it brings high satisfaction and is an enjoyable way to pass the time; it also has hack value.

The importance of quality of service (QoS) has risen with the recent evolution of telecommunication networks, which are characterised by a great heterogeneity. While many applications require a specific level of assurance from the network; communication networks are characterized by different service providers, transmission means and implementer solutions such as asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), Internet protocol version 4 (IPv4), IPv6 and MPLS.
Providing comprehensive coverage of QoS issues within heterogeneous network environments, ¡°QoS Over Heterogeneous Networks¡± looks to find solutions to questions such as does QoS fit within heterogeneous networks and what is the impact on performance if information traverses different network portions that implement specific QoS schemes.
Includes:A series of algorithms and protocols to help solve potential QoS problems.
State of the art case studies and operative examples to illustrate points made.
Information on QoS mapping in terms of service-level specification (SLS) and an in-depth discussion of related issues

It explains how hackers find the bad code that exists, with black, grey and white box techniques and then exploit the vulnerabilities they find.
This is a book for knowledgeable IT people who may still be arrogant enough to believe that "it can't happen to me." While many books work from the premise that hackers use back doors and other ways to enter into your system to do their damage, this book explains how it's your software, itself, that is really the weakest link in your security.
This book shows you real examples, albeit sometime code fragments of examples, of how to find and get into those "holes" in your software to do all kinds of damage. Some people will ask, "But why would we want to have a text book out there to teach people how to do this stuff?" The "bad-guys" know all this stuff, already. If you don't, how can you possibly expect to avoid falling victim to them? This is the information you need to fix what's wrong in software you are already using, and a glimpse into ways to help avoid problems in code that you write.
Exploiting Software" purports to be a book aimed at helping software professionals understand the security risks they face; it uses the pedagogical device of teaching how software can be attacked to
achieve the goal of explaining how secure software should be built

Chemistry is the scientific study of interaction of chemical substances that are constituted of atoms or the subatomic components that make up atoms: protons, electrons and neutrons. Atoms combine to produce molecules or crystals. Chemistry is often called "the central science" because it connects the other natural sciences, such as astronomy, physics, material science, biology, and geology.
The genesis of chemistry can be traced to certain practices, known as alchemy, which had been practiced for several millennia in various parts of the world, particularly the middle east.
The transformations that are studied in chemistry are a result of interaction either between different chemical substances or between matter and energy. Traditional chemistry involves study of interactions between substances in a chemistry laboratory using various forms of laboratory glassware.
Energy and entropy considerations are invariably important in almost all chemical studies. Chemical substances are classified in terms of their structure, phase as well as their chemical compositions. They can be analysed using the tools of chemical analysis, e.g. spectroscopy and chromatography.

Because they incorporate both time- and event-driven dynamics, stochastic hybrid systems (SHS) have become ubiquitous in a variety of fields, from mathematical finance to biological processes to communication networks to engineering. Comprehensively integrating numerous cutting-edge studies, Stochastic Hybrid Systems presents a captivating treatment of some of the most ambitious types of dynamic systems. Cohesively edited by leading experts in the field, the book introduces the theoretical basics, computational methods, and applications of SHS. It first discusses the underlying principles behind SHS and the main design limitations of SHS. Building on these fundamentals, the authoritative contributors present methods for computer calculations that apply SHS analysis and synthesis techniques in practice. The book concludes with examples of systems encountered in a wide range of application areas, including molecular biology, communication networks, and air traffic management. It also explains how to resolve practical problems associated with these systems. Stochastic Hybrid Systems achieves an ideal balance between a theoretical treatment of SHS and practical considerations. The book skillfully explores the interaction of physical processes with computerized equipment in an uncertain environment, enabling a better understanding of sophisticated as well as everyday devices and processes.

Summary:
Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) are the greatest threat to national security in the twenty-first century. How to Build a Nuclear Bomb explains what it takes for a rogue state or terrorist group to obtain and use them. But nuclear weapons and terrorism expert Frank Barnaby has not written a collection of scare stories. His purpose in How to Build a Nuclear Bomb is to counteract the "misinformation, often put out for propaganda purposes" and general ignorance on this most urgent of topics. Barnaby describes, in straightforward, non-sensational terms what is involved when a state or a terrorist group sets out to make a weapon of mass destruction, what they are capable of doing, and what is needed to produce one. By outlining the parameters of the problem, Barnaby is able to accurately gauge the threat that WMD pose, arguing that counterterrorist measures urgently need to be stepped up to meet the challenges of a new era of international terror.

Your digital camera is more than new incarnation of your old film camera. Yes, it still produces photos, but it also offers new outlets for creativity, including instant gratification of seeing your photos now, the ability to experiment without worrying about expense, the technology to fine-tune your photos with advanced professional techniques, and the means to share your work instantaneously with anyone, anyplace in the world. It's no wonder that digital cameras are outselling traditional cameras for the first time ever. But the question most digital camera users ask is this, "How do I get from taking 'decent' photos to doing the things I'd really like to do? How do I tap into that potential?" Digital Photography Hacks is your passport to taking the kind of digital photos you've always aspired to. Written by Derrick Story, photographer and author of Digital Photography Pocket Guide and other books, it goes beyond the standard fare of most digital photography books--such as camera basics, understanding memory cards, and when to use a flash--to the things that professional photographers have learned through thousands of shots' worth of experience, years of experimentation, and fiddling and hacking. The book includes a foreword by photographer Rick Smolan, author of America 24/7. With exquisite, full-color photos throughout, the book presents a collection of tips, tricks, and techniques for photographers ready to move beyond the basics. And if you don't have the latest in digital camera photography, this book will show you how to extend the life and functionality of your existing camera. All the hacks in the book are platform-agnostic, designed for use on both Mac on Windows-based computers.

The Art of War (Chinese: 孫子兵法; pinyin: Sūn Zǐ Bīng Fǎ) is a Chinese military treatise that was written during the 6th century BC by Sun Tzu. Composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it has long been praised as the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time.
The Art of War is one of the oldest books on military strategy in the world. It is the first and one of the most successful works on strategy and has had a huge influence on Eastern and Western military thinking, business tactics, and beyond. Sun Tzu was the first to recognize the importance of positioning in strategy and that position is affected both by objective conditions in the physical environment and the subjective opinions of competitive actors in that environment. He taught that strategy was not planning in the sense of working through a to-do list, but rather that it requires quick and appropriate responses to changing conditions. Planning works in a controlled environment, but in a competitive environment, competing plans collide, creating unexpected situations.

You are not going to forget Dan Brown!
Brown has accomplished masterfully for the secretive National Security Agency in "Digital Fortress". Dan Brown has crafted a powerful and memorable novel that is alive and kicking with intrigue, covert action, and more twists and turns than the NSA has underground bunkers. He has charged that intrepid hill and now occupies the same high ground. "Digital Fortress" is frighteningly real, filled with honor and dishonor, passion and conviction, life and death, the love of country, and the inescapable conclusion that each of us understands deep inside: the complex simplicity of right and wrong and the strength of love are our beacons of hope.

Plot summary
Intelligence Analyst Rachel Sexton is in her mid-thirties, is single, and works for the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office). Her father, Senator Sedgewick Sexton, is a popular presidential candidate surpassing the incumbent President of the United States Zachary Herney. The President sends her to the Arctic as part of a team of experts to confirm and authenticate findings made by NASA deep within the Milne Ice Shelf. NASA's new Earth Observation System (EOS,) a collection of satellites constantly monitoring the globe for signs of large-scale change, has found an extremely dense spot in the Milne Ice Shelf. NASA discovers a very dense meteorite. In it are fossils of bugs very similar to--but not the same as--species on earth. NASA claims this as proof of extraterrestrial life. This find is something NASA needs desperately, as the agency’s success rate on other fronts has put it in a bad light. Senator Sexton uses this as an example of government overspending and failure to further his campaign.

Summary: Excellent Information and Easy to Read
Rating: 5
This book is easy to read and factual. It takes you through all the steps to grow the "devil's Weed" (The man who wrote the introduction to this book Mr.Peter McWilliams was in reality killed by the govenment for his efforts to publlish this book -- investigate this and you will find it correct). Medical marijuana saves lives every day; without it many would die. If you need this medicine to save your life buy this book. You will not be disappointed. The book also reveals the stupidity of America's Drug War, a fanatical war against our own children and citizens. I wonder how many of the 2,000,000 people behind bars in America due to "marijuana crimes" are our brothers, sisters, children or parents?

The story tells the investigation started by symbolist Robert Langdon and a good-looking cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, around the murder of a Museum Louvre's curator. In fact, the unfortunate murdered man was Sophie's grandfather, and the corpse was found with a series of symbols and codes, like a pentagram and a Fibonacci number sequence. But police detective Fache will begin to chase Langdon, who escapes after receiving a warning about the captain's real intentions. Sophie has with her a kind of key with dots and number 24 engraved on it, which opens to her and Langdon a big complex investigation that involves a supposedly heretic theory: Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene were, in fact, a couple who produced a daughter named Sara. A millenarian sect called The Priory of Sion has kept for centuries the secret of that matter. A masochist and kind of psychopath albino monk, Sibilas, an Opus Dei member, will chase Langdon and Sophie as well, in order to impede that they solve the mystery of Christ and Mary Magdalene, and also the real meaning and location of the Holy Grail. A passionate British researcher, will help Langdon in his quest, revealing to them several symbolisms in Da Vinci's master work The Last Supper, traveling to mythical places in the UK, such as The Church Temple, where it is believed that a group of Templars Knights are buried, and Sir Isaac Newton's tomb at Westminster Abbey, where are located some of the main keys to solve the Holy Grail's mystery

Sequel to "The Godfather", this describes the ending of Michael Corleone's exile in Sicily, his search for Salvatore Giuliano and his troubles, as he confronts brutal and unfamiliar treacheries in the deceitful society within which he moves.
After Mario Puzo wrote his internationally acclaimed The Godfather, he has often been imitated but never equaled. Puzo's classic novel, The Sicilian, stands as a cornerstone of his work--a lushly romantic, unforgettable tale of bloodshed, justice, and treachery. . . .
The year is 1950. Michael Corleone is nearing the end of his exile in Sicily. The Godfather has commanded Michael to bring a young Sicilian bandit named Salvatore Guiliano back with him to America. But Guiliano is a man entwined in a bloody web of violence and vendettas. In Sicily, Guiliano is a modern day Robin Hood who has defied corruption--and defied the Cosa Nostra. Now, in the land of mist-shrouded mountains and ancient ruins, Michael Corleone's fate is entwined with the dangerous legend of Salvatore Guiliano: warrior, lover, and the ultimate Siciliano.

The Godfather is a crime novel written by American author Mario Puzo, originally published in 1969 by G. P. Putnam's Sons. It details the story of a fictitious Sicilian Mafia family based in New York City (and Long Beach, NY) and headed by Don Vito Corleone, who became synonymous with the Italian Mafia. The novel covers the years 1945 to 1955, and also provides the backstory of Vito Corleone from early childhood to adulthood.
The book introduced Italian criminal terms like consiglieri, caporegime, Cosa Nostra, and omertà to an English-speaking audience. It formed the basis for a 1972 film of the same name and its 1974 sequel, which are widely considered to be two of the greatest films of all time.

Muhammad Bin Ibrahem al-Hamad | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 16 | 1.20 MBWhy Do You Smoke ?: A discussion with our smoking brothers regarding the prohibition of smoking.
Smoking is a dangerous epidemic and a destructive adversity that catches many people in its trap. Many of them have live hearts and strong Islamic emotions, yet they are afflicted with smoking and do not deny its harm, its effects and its prohibition. They hope to give it up, and strive to get rid of it. Such people have a right upon their brothers to help them and take their hands to the shore of safety.
If you ask any smoker why he smokes, you would receive many different answers. Some people smoke when they need relief from depression; others smoke to ease the stress of estrangement from their families. Some people smoke with friends to have fun, while others smoke to rid themselves of worry and anger. There are those that smoke to imitate those whom they admire, or perhaps they smoke because they have been doing it from a young age and cannot stop. You will even find those who say, “I smoke because it is useful, and I do not believe it is prohibited.”
These are generally the excuses smokers give, and based on this, allow me, my dear beloved smoking brothers, to discuss this issue with you for a short while, and perhaps we will come to a satisfying conclusion.

You can get paid to write a book. It’s easily possible to make a fast $10,000, or even a six figure amount. You could even make seven figures — over a million dollars for twenty pages of text. It sounds incredible, but a fast seven figures is certainly possible if you have a HOT, hot idea or have had an experience that hundreds of thousands of people want to read about. In his 2001 book about writing non-fiction, Damn! Why Didn’t I Write That?, author Marc McCutcheon says that it’s not hard to make a good income: “you can learn the trade and begin making a respectable income much faster than most people think possible”.
The good part is that you don’t need to write your book before you get some money. You write a proposal, and a publisher will give you an advance, which you can live on while you write the book.
Writing a proposal is the smart way to write a book. It’s the way professional writers sell non-fiction. Selling a book on a proposal is much easier than selling a book that you’ve already written. A book proposal is a complete description of your book. It contains the title, an explanation of what the book’s about, an outline of chapters, a market and competition survey, and a sample chapter.

ISBN 0385499078 | English | 736 pages | PDF | 5 MBBody of Secrets takes the reader into a world few have ever seen. It is a world where computer systems are measured by the acre. Where massive listening posts, like moon-bases, eavesdrop on foreign governments and terrorists—including suspected bomber Osama bin Ladin talking over the telephone to his mother. Where crewmembers on risky eavesdropping missions fly close to hostile lands, and sometimes never return. In his new book, James Bamford, for the first time, explores the vital role played by America's eavesdroppers and codebreakers during the tension-filled years of the Cold War. He also looks into whether the new telecommunications revolution is causing NSA to suddenly go deaf. And he addresses the issue of Echelon, the worldwide NSA operation that, many charge, is illegally eavesdropping on innocent citizens. Finally, he takes his readers on the first tour of the NSA's hidden, city-size complex, nicknamed Crypto City, and introduces them to the unique men and women who occupy that shadowy land.

"Mohandas K. Gandhi or Mahatma Gandhi (2. october 1869 - 30. january 1948) is one of the most inspiring figures of our time. In his classic autobiography he recounts the story of his life and how he developed his concept of active nonviolent resistance, which propelled the Indian struggle for independence and countless other nonviolent struggles of the twentieth century. In a new foreword, noted peace expert and teacher Sissela Bok urges us to adopt Gandhi's "attitude of experimenting, of tesing what will and will not bear close scrutiny, what can and cannot be adapted to new circumstances,"in order to bring about change in our own lives and communities. All royalties earned on this book are paid to the Navajivan Trust, founded by Gandhi, for use in carrying on his work."

Born over 2,400 years ago, warrior, thinker, and leader Sun Tzu lived during a time of great internecine conflict in China. A classic of Chinese literature, Art of War reveals the strategies, tactics, and insights that lead to success. Mastery of warfare and the maintenance of power are the most important values in Sun's philosophy--without which there can be no peace or life. According to Sun, studying your enemy, detecting his weakness, allowing him to expose himself and then acting accordingly is the key to success. But, it is perhaps even more important to master the skill of winning without fighting. Sun's battle-proven strategies have been put into practice by countless leaders--from Mao Tse-tung to Napoleon to the planners of Operation Desert Storm. Filled with practical wisdom and strategy Art of War is an indispensable guide for anyone who wants an edge over the competition.
