Yes you can if you are planning to install Vista.
Is there any special instructions I need to follow or do I just boot to the PE and put in the Vista install DVD and format and install Vista?
Sorry I wasn't so detailed in my previous post.
Sickie's PE is based on an x86 architecture (32 Bit) which means that it can only run 32 bit programs, so in turn you can only install 32 bit Vista flavors from this PE.
HOWEVER, you may certainly install 64 bit Vista as well if you copy all the files from a 32 bit Vista DVD and just stick the 64 bit install.wim file into the SOURCES folder. Basically copy everything from a 32 bit Vista DVD to a folder e.g. D:Vista64 then copy the install.wim from your 64 bit source e.g. %CDROM%SOURCESINSTALL.WIM to D:Vista64SOURCES and overwrite the existing 32 bit image.
What I do is I have a portable hard drive that I dump all my Vista sources onto, I only use the 32 bit executables and I load into any PE2 (Sickie's one would be fine) then I just launch the setup from the PE. I actually do it a bit fancier by making an autorun program which can launch the installs without navigating to the setup.exe. This method really speeds up the install process as well because I'm installing from a portable hard drive and not a DVD!

Thanks, I'll try and do it, I've never installed vista this way(with the PE program).
