This application is a software calendar with appointments notes, tasks, alarms and contacts that provides seamless integration and interactivity with the desktop background. You can organize your data in layers and share them with other people on a local area network.

The program can integrate with Outlook to show its appointments and tasks on the desktop. There are options for changing calendar icons, fonts and colors, marking weekdays of choice and marking dates with notes and/or alarms. You can have a text only version of the calendar and choose between displaying one, two or three months on the desktop.

Recurrence patterns are available for both notes and alarms. An alarm can be stand alone or attached to a note. If interactive desktop option is enabled, the program accepts direct clicks on dates, notes and tasks displayed on the desktop. You can set each note to normal, private or invisible desktop view. Private notes are displayed as generic text reminder and invisible notes are not displayed at all.

Printing calendar data is easy and includes an option to choose date range for printing notes. Built-in address book allows you to maintain detailed information about all your contacts, personal and business alike. Importing contacts from Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Address Book is possible.

Google Calendars are supported through direct connection with their iCal addresses. Special desktop pictures option will let you add some of your pictures to existing desktop background. For importing and exporting calendar data the program supports iCal and comma separated values CSV formats. Tablet PC users should not worry as the program detects desktop orientation changes automatically. Finally, Active Desktop Calendar comes with world clock screen saver that shows your computer's system time, plus five major time zones around the world.

here's how to use Ktr 9 :

you must turn off self-protection by: right-click the icon of KIS on the system tray, select Settings -> Options -> uncheck Enable Self-Defense -> OK.

More follow, you have to completely shut down KIS: choose Exit from the menu command system tray.

Following that run programs KTR, in the dialog that opens, click Yes to confirm the time limit for Rresset KIS.Sau when completed, you click OK.

Follows that you re-register keys for KIS as usual!

Note: You can apply this procedure to KAV9 and KIS9 ever.

How can I get a full standalone bootable CD of Windows XP SP3 5.1.2600.5512.080413-2113 NOT for upgrading purpose (without a preinstalled OS)?

Gypsydavid I tried what you said, but it didn't work. I choose internet, then the Product key Change window comes up. IE does not open up.

I had tried many fixes in safe mode, but after your last post I did a system restore to a month prior. One thing I can think of is I tried "Windows_Genuine_Forever" fix in the safe mode. I think that this runs as a service. I am not sure if this service was removed when I did a system restore.

If you have a floppy drive or USB stick and another machine to download my above activation file, copy it to the floppy/stick. Boot without the floppy/stick inserted. When it asks you, choose YES, there should be an address bar at the top. Type "C/:" w/o quotes, enter or go. you should have explorer. Go to "computer", Insert floppy/stick and run the activation file and reboot. Give that a try and report.

I have exact same problem. But when I choose yes there is no address bar at top . Is there any other way to get to the address bar?
Have tried putting file in safe mode but does not work.

*****UPDATE***** Got to the address bar in IE and can bring up explorer but it will only stay up a few seconds and then disappears .

Inquisitor Vs Peers : The Search Wars Start Again

The Search Wars start again with a raging battle between Inquisitor and Peers, plug-ins those brought instant search feature in browsers. The first comer, Inquisitor recently spurred up support for Internet Explorer and Firefox while improving its strong base over Safari while Peers is constantly improving with Firefox. The previous Safari-only Inquisitor is looking forward towards its Firefox agenda hence directly clashing with reigning Peers in its own territory. Brawns apart, actually both of the plug-ins does provide the same functionalities of search-as-you-type internet search results from popular search engines like Google, Yahoo or other Opensearch supported sites like Wikipedia. Let’s take a quick look at both the tools before directly pitting each against another.

Inquisitor was originally developed by David Watanabe for Safari which is the default browser for Apple Mac OS X operating systems. The Cocoa based application can perfectly blend into Safari, replacing the dull Google search bar with search-as-you-type space offering blazingly fast results from a preferred search engine. Now Yahoo came into business this year and got the license of this nifty piece of software. This week, they made Inquisitor available for Internet Explorer and Firefox also.

Peers comes from Jan Bolz and Daniel Sachse and only available for Firefox. The instant search feature is present in Firefox 3 through its Awesome Bar and can instantly sort items through saved bookmarks and previously visited pages from browser history. Still, the Awesome Bar can’t search internet this way and there comes Peers to rescue. Peers can be a perfect companion to Awesome Bar, adding its instant search feature to the Bar. So with Peers installed, one can easily search through Internet right from the Awesome Bar much like Google Chrome address bar. But that’s not all, Peers is still a highly customizable piece of software on its own. Peers can detect and use the already added Search Providers in Firefox search bar and adding more from Opensearch enabled websites is real smooth, just like a piece of cake. Search results in Peers dropdown menu stars with the related keywords whenever available followed by links from selected search engine, browser history and options to search with other search engines.
