Wireless with 2k

I have an old laptop pen 3, 500 Mhz, less than 400 Mb memory. I installed 2k on this system and cant seem to get the wireless to work. Will 2k except wireless or am i missing something. Linksys wireless G WPC54G dosent work yet it worked with xp. Same laptop. The Linksys 10/100 cardbus , PCM 200 works fine with both OSes.
