WinXP is not recognizing your HDD because your SATA is set in the enhanced mode disable it for this you have to go in BIOS. And put it in the Legacy mode.Generally the companies put in this mode because it provides faster data transfer mode. and use Latest 64-Bit Drivers only. and put your Lan Card in "10 Half Duplex Mode". And Even try to connect it in Lan some other place (e.i. from other cabin). cause may be your cable is having some problem as i have face same problem and the cable was faulty.
