I installed the Win 7 beta on an old system with SCSI hard drives and a SCSI controller that showed itself eventually as an Adaptec SCSI Card 29160 - Ultra 160 SCSI. The installation would not proceed until I had pointed the Win 7 setup to the SCSI drivers, which were on the CD that came with my motherboard under a folder labelled Win2K. After this my hard drives were recognized and I could continue. This may not be the same as your issue but I'm hoping it helps you anyhow...

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Uninstall any previous DISKEEPER and its crack (use Your Uninstaller 2008)
- Delete any registry entries left DISKEEPER by launching "regedit"
- Disable vista's UAC (THE MOST IMPORTANT BIT) then restart
- Install my pack. (Right click on setup.exe, and then choose "run as administrator")

Left a msg earlier regarding getting Win7 to recognize my scsi controller card but go no response so lets try this.. I got the driver for my controller card from Vista and entered it into the c:windowssystem32drivers folder in Win7. Rebooted. Checking the device manager shows the controller is STILL not being recognized. HOW/IS there a way to enter a path manually to that driver so the card will be recognized and start working? IF NOT, IS there an .inf that I need to copy from Vista over to Win7 that will allow it to be installed? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks..

First of all, turn your monitor on it's side so the screen looks normal. That will help you work with it MUCH Easier!!!!

Then you need to go into your Graphics control panel if you have a Add in PCIE card and change the Rotation back to standard Landscape and not 90 degrees left/right.

As for a Onboard GFX you would need to go to the GXF control panel and do the same. As for normal XP with onboard, you may find it in the control panel Display properties. Otherwise you are going to need to find out what GFX onboard chip you are using and then I can help you get the control panel open for it. It may be igfxtray.exe if you have standard onboard GFX.

If it is a Nvidia Card you will find similar as to the above ATI image in the Nvidia Control Panel

Then once you are done, install a good virus program such as Something from Eset and do a in depth scan as this is often caused by virus's if no one has been at the PC to do it on purpose to mess with you
