Hey all,
I'm having a few weird problems with Windows 7. First, when I click on system properties it displays that my CPU is at 803 MHz (AMD Sempron 3100+ - 1.83 GHz). Consequently, task manager is showing 100% usage nearly all the time. The system feels much faster than when I had vista on it so I don't really know what's going on there. The motherboard is an NForce3 250 chipset. It worked fine under vista. I don't know if this is maybe a chipset driver problem or CPU driver problem, or is it a bug in Win 7?
Second problem is that my onboard AC'97 (not HD) audio suffers from crackly sound. If I play an MP3 file in WMP, it starts off ok, then after a few minutes the sound starts to crackle, and after a few more its incredibly crackly. After that, all sound on the system is crackly. This lead me to think its some kind of buffer problem perhaps?
Any help with these issues would be highly appreciated, as windows 7 does blow the socks off vista, but these problems are making it hard to use for an everyday PC.
Thanks
