Yup, boot in safe mode and install AntiWPA 3.4.6. Also add ANTIWPA.DLL to your antivirus exclusion list if you have Norton; it is detect it as a hack tool (NOT VIRUS). From professional critics, Norton is one of the worst antivirus out there; Kaspersky and BitDefender are way better.

I did a fresh install of XP service pack 3 a few weeks ago on my brothers PC, custom built was a Christmas gift for them
anyways when they go to start it up it asks for them to activate windows.. over internet or with telephone
.is there a way I could over the phone get it working for them, 600 kilometers, they can burn files on CDs that i send them and boot in safe mode.. so is there a WPA kill or registry file we could use to activate the windows?
Ur helps be greatly appreciated

Hey all,
I've had a few hiccups with windows 7 but I'm loving it!! There is one very annoying problem I'm having at the moment that I hope someone can help me with.
I'm using an on board Realtek AC'97 ALC sound card. It is on an nForce3 250 motherboard (and Realtek audio manager says the audio controller is nVidia (00EA) ) and was working fine under vista. I've tried all sorts of different drivers (vista drivers, XP drivers and windows update drivers) and all of them had a problem of crackling sound.
Daytodie tried to help me but all the AC'97 HD drivers he recommended didn't like being installed, and when forced installed didn't work (device manager said device was not working after I restarted my computer).
I really want to use Windows 7, it is by far the speediest OS i've used on this machine (including XP!!).
I would highly appreciate any help/ideas that would get the crackle out of my sound.
Thanks in advance.
PS I heard the x64 drivers seem to solve the crackle, but I'm not an x64 kinda guy. Would it be possible to install x64 drivers on a 32 bit install?
My comp:
AMD Sempron 3100+ (64bit capable)
1.5 GB Ram DDR2700
GeForce 6200 AGP 128MB
and of course Windows 7 Beta 32bit!

Download this version: ftp://61.56.69.18/pc/audio/Vista_R214.exe and run it as administrator. See if that helps.

No probs here with Win 7 64bit so far .. can't comment on IE8 since I use Firefox exclusively at the mo.
I noticed that Acronis True Image is a non-runner though .. install starts and goes so far, then stops and rolls back!

I was wondering, as this driver works in Vista, would it work in win 7 if I ran it in Vista and then upgraded Vista to windows 7? Is it worth a try?
