Just hours after screenshots of Windows 7 build 7048 Enterprise were leaked, the 64-bit flavor of build 7048 hit torrent sites courtesy of a user by the name of DiamondNRG. When asked why he didn't leak the 32-bit version, he said on SevenForums: "Nah, you x86 guys always get the new builds first, so it's time for the x64 club to fight back." This means that many users who do not have 64-bit CPUs are left out of the piracy game until the 32-bit version leaks to torrent sites. That shouldn't be long now, considering build 7048 was supplied to internal testers, a few Microsoft partners, and participants of the Technology Adopters Program (TAP).

The torrent in question has already gone through a few problems. The Demonoid tracker committed suicide, and users had to quickly scramble to supply alternative trackers to each other. Many pirates have been complaining on Windows forums that some files aren't being shared enough, and some are stuck because they can't connect to those who have the rest of the files. Furthermore, this isn't your typical leak: the torrent does not contain the actual .iso, but the file contents of it (and yes, they are digitally signed by Microsoft), which means a little less work, or a little more work, depending on how you plan to install the leaked release. As an aside, the latest build that I've heard of is 7050.
