How do I install Marsu Fix on Win Xp? I installed ESS. Stopped it with task manager. Installed
Marsu Fix. But when I manually try to use Update in ESS I get dialogue box asking for Name
and Password.

I didnt have that problem in Vista on a different computer.

Tips: You can also just record any part of movie by drag the slide bar to where you want to start, and click the "Convert" button, please select "Record from current time point". This provide you with more flexibility.

hey guys, it 1st time 2 visit and reg @ your forum, its a nice forum an cool guys..

Im a Dell User.
My Spc:
Intel P4 2.53Ghz with 512 L2 Cache.
1GB DDRam.
NVidia GeForce 5200 128MB with DX 9.0 sup,
and I'm runing right now Win7 Ultimate Rc 7100 and vista sp1 before it and they were runing fast and normaly no problems. Specialy With Win7 its more Fast than Vista.
The Q is: Can i run Mac on these Spc? and if it can, which Edition can run normally and How?

Well my system is similar to yours ( more or less ?!? ) and after having tried Seven, I won't be going back to either XP or Vista anytime soon!

I'm open to suggestions for a good virtual disk software program.
I'm running Windows 7 Build 7100 x64 so compatibility with that OS is a must.
I've been weighing my options between Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools. Any suggestions or reasoning is most welcome as are links to a cracked copy of the program.

Went to reinstall the program, product key box will not accept the letter "Z", thought it might be my keyboard but checked it with notepad and it is fine, I have rebooted, tried the setup within the disc, same result. Any suggestions?

I found 32-bit Win7 RC to be a little bit faster than XP with 3.0 gigs of installed RAM, but then again I tweaked it the same amount as I've tweaked 32-bit Vista. This made it faster than Vista as well.

But just so you know, a heavily tweaked Vista is in fact faster than XP. You won't read about it anywhere on the internet cuz no one wants to admit that Microsoft decided to enable a bunch of useless features in Vista out of the box.

I'm dual booting Vista Ultimate - Win7 Ultimate and I find that games run slightly more smoothly on Win7.

I'm using an Amd x2 4000+ on a nforce 570 board with 2 (when needed 4) gigs of ram and a Geforce 9600GT graphics card? I really can't stand it when an operating system is sluggish (the reason for skipping Vista). My other question is if the 7 RC version is stable and feature rich enough to totally replace my XP version, insteed of dual boot/test system? I hope you guys will answer my questions.

The technical preview is a complex solution for securing computers running under Windows 7. The prototype includes not only an antivirus component but an effective and fully functional firewall and anti-spam filter.

At the heart of the new technical prototype is Kaspersky Lab’s new antivirus engine which is even more effective at detecting malicious programs than its predecessor. The new engine dramatically increases system scanning speed thanks to improved processing of objects and optimized use of system resources, particularly on dual- and quad-core processor platforms. The unique product architecture ensures high productivity and one of the lowest uses of system resources in the industry.

The technical preview includes a highly effective heuristic analyzer. The heuristic analyzer detects and blocks as yet unknown malicious programs. If a program signature is not included in the antivirus databases, i.e., the malicious program is unknown, the heuristic analyzer will safely launch the program in an isolated virtual environment, analyze the program’s actions and conclude with a high degree of probability whether it is potentially harmful before it is launched in a live environment.

In addition, the technical prototype includes a new user interface developed to meet the needs of both inexperienced and advanced users.

Ways to deal with procrastination

Most of us can actually admit the fact that they are procrastinator. Actually, I myself can say I am that way and most of the times I wonder what is the right way to go. You see, even if I have a steady job and so on I still enjoy working as I used to back in high school meaning that I still like to complete project right before they are due. In some cases I got to the point where I kept asking myself what would cost me to work a bit more in time, rather than making everything in a rush at the end? Well, I got no answer to that whatsoever during my high school or college years but nowadays procrastination does have several side-effects unfortunately. Those were present even in the old days, but they were too minor to upset me. Nowadays it makes me stressed because I know I should start early to work on certain aspects of my work, but instead of it, I am rushing in the last days or hours to do what I have to do. Unfortunately, there were many situations in which I felt like procrastination is the only thing that actually keeps me away from being an entrepreneur – and I was not even by far wrong.
Useless justifications
As a small example, I thought most of the times that family came first, and I still think like that, but that does not mean everything has to come before your work. I kept telling myself that spending a little with my family every day is more important, and so I started making up even more excuses that were only taking me away from what I had to do. Then holidays came, and there were more reasons for which I should not work, and so-called stay with my family. When I realized how back I got on my project, I panicked and said that I will work all New Year’s Day, but of course, that did not happen because I found any other excuse. I was very content with my gifts, a new laptop that I started setting up and the whole list. Of course, I lost all day without actually doing anything at all, and I kept saying to myself that there is always tomorrow, and today I need this rest. Yet, I started recently to realize where were the problems, and I made out some kind of a plan to deal with my procrastination issue. Below I have written my formula, and I really hope it will help you too.

1. Problems and barriers – think about them! – You see, whenever you have a problem, and you realize you do not want to work on a certain aspect of your chore, go ahead and ask yourself what is your exact problem with that thing. If there are problems you do not want to deal with then that is a good enough reason to start dealing with them right away because otherwise they will always hunt you.
2. Have your own action plan – Do you plan anything in regards to your due date? If not, you should, of course, it is easy not to actually stick to it, but think about determination, and look at what I said at step one. For me, planning helped a lot because it is a motivational factor.
3. Face your fears – Remember to always deal with everything that bothers you because you will never get over this otherwise.

I'm sorry, I totally wasn't clear on that - my bad.

The add-on is free, but it also has a conversion thing - it'll download FLV files and automatically convert them to whatever, but it puts a watermark on the video. Registering it removes the watermark and also alows conversion to mp3 - that's what I'm looking for.

well maybe u could explain your funny behavior lol. If your windows vista (SP1) has a pirated key or has the royalty hack program installed, it will do that. evidently windows 7 does indeed detect the other operating systems that are on the same hard drive. just because the partitions have drive letters it doesnt mean that it makes the HD operate as 2 separate 'entities' aka 2 physical hard drives. this behavior goes way back to the first boot loaders. I read somewhere that windows 7 can do more than just detect other installed OS's, it can use a VHD (virtual hard drive) image natively.
but vista is self is just plain awful, no matter how many service packs MS makes for it, it will never be as fast as XP or 7. not to mention its a resource hog, in my CIT class at the tech center we just got a new hp touchscreen pc in a few weeks ago, that has vista on it. it uses about 1.6gb ram when nothing at all is running... i think that is proof of what people have been saying for years now about vista. my windows 7 64 bit only uses 650-800mb after boot and thats with 4gb ram. when i have many programs and windows running like right now its using 1.5gb ram.
people should come to realize that windows 7 is not vista, its not xp, 2000, 9x/ME, or 3.1 and vice-versa. thats saying that its basically unique unto itself. it also hasnt even been finalized yet that I know of....
so yea there u go, vista is the problem. if u actually bought the vista license, I would take it back and get your money back, and run windows 7 for free. if u cant take it back, well i feel sorry for u then...... lol

I have installed now 2 times Windows 7 build 7077.

First time x86 and second time x64 on my second HD (1e primary partition).

On my first HD on 1e primary partition i have Vista SP1 (my operational windows) and use VistaBootPro 3.3 as bootloader.

After installing Windows 7 (in both cases) my Vista SP1 is flagged as illigal and i have to activate Vista SP1 again .

How come? Can somebody explain this funny behaviour .

i have p5e3 deluxe started out with 2 gig of corsair ddr3 running at 1066 then because came at right price i added 4 gig of samsung ddr3
both run together fine and never short of ram although not overclocked
corsair was on the qvl but samsung i just took the gamble.

wait 3 minutes.... for what? is it going to self-destruct? lol! omg u do not have to wait 3 minutes before turning a pc back on. basically 5-10 seconds or until u hear silence in ur pc... all the drives powered down etc.
as for windows 7 64-bit, i installed it on the new pc i built. i have never seen windows use 8-12gb of virtual ram. theres only 4gb ram in it. I guess i will have to find out from someone in my CIT class....

if your learning programming in vb.net you should really just look at tools or programs you could really need on your computer.
i myself have written loads of applications in vb.net , c++ and asm . i looked at what i could use on a day to day basis and started from there!

There was once a man from the city who was visiting a small farm, and during this visit he saw a farmer feeding pigs in a most extraordinary manner. The farmer would lift a pig up to a nearby apple tree, and the pig would eat the apples off the tree directly. The farmer would move the pig from one apple to another until the pig was satisfied, then he would start again with another pig. if this question has been ask else where please accept my apologies and I will delete it.
I want to up grade my memory from 2 gigs(ddr3 1333) to 8 gigs(ddr3 1600) and the QVL only seems to cover 2 gigs of memory at a time no matter how fast the memory is. Will this be over kill ?.........will there be problems with that much memory I'm not aware of ? Should I consider not using vendors that are not on the list? I know they must be matched pairs. I'm not a gamer but I would like to keep that option open . However I do like to have 4 or 5 things going at once...torrents, dvd burning,movie ripping and rendering, photoshop and two monitors at the same time. My specks are below.....thanks in advance for all help.

Maybe because of graphics card drivers and not the Windows 7? All those programs are using graphics card heavily, so reason might be in gc drivers and not in W7....

Last month, a very believable rumor started flying around in regard to Office 2010 shipping in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Check out ZDNet and Within Windows to see how the conclusion was drawn. Everything pointed to Microsoft finally offering a 64-bit flavor of its Office suite, previous versions of which have only shipped in 32-bit or 16-bit flavors. In an e-mail exchange with Ars today, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that Office 2010 will be available in both flavors: "Yes, Office will have two separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Office 2010 will be the first to do this."

Last month there was a job posting on March 12 that quickly led to speculation around whether or not Microsoft was planning to revamp the updating system for its Windows Mobile platform. Yesterday a rumor started floating on internet that Windows 7 build 7106 will get leaked in 24 hours. However no one took this rumor seriously as their was no evidence or screenshot from claimer. But it seems its real Windows 7 build 7106 and its leaked on internet but here is big downside, Windows 7 build 7106 is leaked only in Chinese version and no English version.

I got v7077 installed & installed Logitech setpointx64. The keyboard only partially works. The F keys work, the messenger key etc but I am unable to type anything.

Any ideas?
Also, does windows live mail not exist in win7 v7077??
I can't find it.

EDIT: it's something to do with setpoint x64. When it's installed, the lettered/numbered keys do not work.
When it's not installed, they work fine.

Any ideas on how to get this to work?
I tried running the installer in compatibility mode with no luck.

I get the error msg "R6031 Attempt to initialize the crt more than once" installing Windows 7 build 7077 I've checked device manager and there's only one crt device, any help would be appreciated.

It seems embrace has put back the import table? (based on FC compare), then add their logo "EMB", and then changed something at the end of the file. crc checks? The file I think is packed with Aspack. ? don't know what they have patched. I tried to disable DEP but it still crashes.

Get this file "USBviewer.exe" from Microsoft or Google for it This is a small utility that lists all USB devices that are currently
connected to your computer. It will tell you the status of each device.

If you find your USB stick in the list and click on it you should get something like this

In which case it is recoverable and you should be able to get a low level format utility from the makers to recover it, or try the following:
Open a command prompt and type as follows, then hit the Return key:

where x: represents the drive letter of your USB drive.

As you can see above, screenshots of Windows 7 build 7077 have started to appear around the Web. There are also reports that the 32-bit version has been leaked and is readily available on various websites. Nevertheless, a good source has told me there are no noticeable differences between build 7068 and any of the 707x builds. This is much more important than the information leak of build 7070, though it's not immediately apparently. In the "About Windows" dialog box, there isn't an actual build string as we've seen in previous interim builds. It simply says "Version 6.1 (Build 7077)." The only other build we've seen this for is in the beta build released to the public (which also was leaked before Microsoft gave the download to testers): "Version 6.1 (Build 7000)."

The build string for the latest build we know about is "7077.0.090404-1255," which indicates that it was compiled less than a week ago: April 4, 2009, at 12:55pm. Some of you will realize that this is 20 minutes after the supposed build 7105 was compiled, which is widely rumored to be a milestone build. Microsoft only increments the second digit of the build number if an important point in development has been reached. The software giant is expected to give a new build to testers this month, and a public Release Candidate build is coming in May.

Are you kidding? The best idea is to... keep one machine on the network with Linux or Leopard and any other with MS stuff. Call it Internet Machine.
without updates, antivirus or firewall.

Work on the any other machine, call it WORK and if you have to send something to some one, or you're working on a web page and have to update, or... whatever you need Internet to use... send to made folder on the Internet Machine.

Most of us have laptops and desktop as well, so the best solution would be working as described above.

Any machine without antivirus, antiphishing, without firewalls and all that BS will be very fast and furious.

Use KVM switch and manually disconnect WORK machine from the net. Connect, when you have to for only that moment.

In The Internet Machine you will have to only browsing and emails. If stuff will happened, reinstall Linux or Leopard and keep going, use portable Firefox and Thunderbird or web email to be safest.

Sooner o later you will love Linux (Or leopard) and slowly migrate to one of them.
