How do I activate x64 Vista Home Premium?

Yeah basically as the title says, how do I do it without flashing my bios? Not sure what all this OEM stuff is about, built my own PC with a Gigabyte EP45-UD3L mobo if you need to know.

I downloaded an Activator, a small 300kb .exe and it made it work for a month, could download updates and everything but today it suddenly stopped.
