I found 32-bit Win7 RC to be a little bit faster than XP with 3.0 gigs of installed RAM, but then again I tweaked it the same amount as I've tweaked 32-bit Vista. This made it faster than Vista as well.

But just so you know, a heavily tweaked Vista is in fact faster than XP. You won't read about it anywhere on the internet cuz no one wants to admit that Microsoft decided to enable a bunch of useless features in Vista out of the box.

I'm dual booting Vista Ultimate - Win7 Ultimate and I find that games run slightly more smoothly on Win7.
