International trade is a matter of vital importance for developing countries, since it can stimulate growth and contribute to poverty reduction. Trade is, however, an increasingly complex issue, and policymakers in developing countries will need to understand the many ramifications of multilateral trade agreements if their countries are to benefit from this engine of growth. Development, Trade, and the WTO summarizes the economics of sound trade policy, explains behind-the-border regulatory issues, and presents a range of perspectives on trade-related issues. It also contains relevant data and training material. Policymakers, trade negotiators, indeed any reader interested in international trade, will find this book invaluable.

It's hard to say how private investigators would react to books like J. J. Luna's How to Be Invisible–while it makes their jobs a lot harder, most of them are paid by the hour. If you want to withdraw from the snooping eyes of the government, corporations, stalking ex-boyfriends, or practically anyone else, this practical, down-to-earth guide will help you and your family vanish. It's not a glamorous James Bond life Mr. Luna is inviting you to take part in; it's probably much like the life you're living right now. Spending much of the early part of the book frightening the reader with tales of stalkers and mistaken identities, the author successfully makes his case that a few adjustments to an individual's personal information flow can make a life-or-death difference. While getting his plan off the ground will take a bit of planning and effort (you have to move at least once to clear your trail), it is sustainable and worthwhile even for those who think they have nothing to hide. Learn about anonymous travel and purchase, using trusts and corporations to keep your assets private, and how recent laws (the book's date of publication is 2000) significantly affect older methods of guaranteeing privacy. Luna makes no claim to know the law where you live and suggests that you consult a trusted local attorney before implementing most of his advice. Just knowing how easily a criminal can learn about and exploit your personal information will make you want to do just that.

AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) is Adobe’s open-source technology that lets Web developers and programmers create Rich Internet Applications that run outside of any Web browser. This Visual QuickPro Guide teaches everything you need to know to begin creating applications that combine the rich experience of a traditional desktop application with the power and reach of the Internet. The book uses a visual, step-by-step approach and covers all the fundamental AIR concepts, without the fluff, confusing segues, and technical jargon that bog down so many other computer books. Author Larry Ullman has a well-earned reputation for writing books that are accessible, easy-to-follow, and, above all, useful. This book focuses solely on developing AIR applications using HTML and JavaScript, although formal knowledge of JavaScript is not required.

Popular among both novice and experienced AutoCAD users, this comprehensive book begins with an overview of the basics of AutoCAD, such as creating drawings, using commands, and specifying coordinates. Coverage becomes more in-depth as each chapter builds off the previous one, with discussions of 2D and 3D drawing techniques, using layers, creating dimensions, 3D coordinates, and rendering. You ll learn to customize commands and toolbars; program AutoCAD using AutoLISP and VBA; and review AutoCAD LT. A "Quick Start" will have beginners creating a CAD drawing on their first day. The accompanying CD-ROM provides before-and-after real-world drawings, bonus appendices, freeware and shareware programs, the book in searchable PDF format, and a 30-day trial version of AutoCAD software.
This book covers every significant AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT feature. If you’re a beginning user, you’ll find everything you need to start out; if you’re already using AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT regularly, the book covers advanced material as well. Although you can use this book as a tutorial if you’re just starting out or learning a new set of features, it also provides a solid reference base to come back to again and again. The short tutorials on almost every topic will quickly have you drawing professionally. The CD-ROM is chock-full of drawings, a trial version of AutoCAD 2007, and add-in programs (which are mostly for AutoCAD only). This book should be all that you need to make full use of either program.

Part 1 - AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT Basics
Part 2 - Drawing in Two Dimensions
Part 3 - Working with
Part 4 - Drawing in Three Dimensions

My goal in writing this book is to share with you some of what I know about Excel, and in the process, make you more efficient on the job. The book contains everything that you need to know to learn the basics of Excel and then move on to more advanced topics at your own pace. You’ll find many useful examples and lots of tips and tricks that I’ve accumulated over the years.
In this book, I’ve tried to maintain a good balance between the basics that every Excel user needs to know and the more complex topics that will appeal to power users. I’ve used Excel for nearly 20 years, and I realize that almost everyone still has something to learn (including myself). My goal is to make that learning an enjoyable process.
This book was written for Excel 2007 for Windows. No exceptions. If you’re using an older version of Excel, I suggest that you put down this book immediately and find a book that’s appropriate for your version of Excel. The changes in Excel 2007 are so extensive that you’ll probably be hopelessly confused if you use an earlier version.
TABLE OF CONTENT:
Part 1 - Getting Started with Excel
Part 2 - Working with Formulas and Functions
Part 3 - Creating Charts and Graphics
Part 4 - Using Advanced Excel Features

This book can teach you how to debug more effectively. It is a complete and pragmatic overview of debugging, written by a talented researcher who has developed many clever ways to isolate bugs. It explains best practices for finding and fixing errors in programs, ranging from systematically tracking error reports, reproducing failures, observing symptoms, isolating the cause, and correcting defects. Along with basic techniques and commonly used tools, the book also explores the author’s innovative techniques for isolating minimal input to reproduce an error and for tracking cause and effect through a program.
Studying this book will make you a better programmer. You will be able to find and fix errors in your code (and your colleague’s code) faster and more effectively, a valuable skill that will enable you to finish projects earlier and produce programs with fewer defects. Also, if you read between the lines you will learn how to write code that is more easily tested and debugged, which further increases your ability to find and correct defects. And thinking hard about what can go wrong with your program can help you avoid mistakes in the first place, so you have less to debug.
TABLE OF CONTENT:
- 1 How Failures Come To Be
- 2 Tracking Problems
- 3 Making Programs Fail
- Reproducing Problems
- Simplifying Problems
- Scientific Debugging
- Deducing Errors
- Observing Facts
- Tracking Origins
- Asserting Expectations
