In a short period of time, he was forced to overcome the death of his partner and numerous other obstacles to construct the famous "White City" around which the fair was built. His efforts to complete the project, and the fair's incredible success, are skillfully related along with entertaining appearances by such notables as Buffalo Bill Cody, Susan B. Anthony, and Thomas Edison. The activities of the sinister Dr. Holmes, who is believed to be responsible for scores of murders around the time of the fair, are equally remarkable. He devised and erected the World's Fair Hotel, complete with crematorium and gas chamber, near the fairgrounds and used the event as well as his own charismatic personality to lure victims. Combining the stories of an architect and a killer in one book, mostly in alternating chapters, seems like an odd choice but it works. The magical appeal and horrifying dark side of 19th-century Chicago are both revealed through Larson's skillful writing.

Have tried to check all the files and everything seems to work fine, but as you can appreciate, there are 197,211 files

Short way

Download the application, languages and images you need(check
the list at the end of this file) and extract all the files,
add them and the CATMPC.TRS CDID.TRS and Credits.TRS files to a
cd/dvd/iso. (mac users need to add the files from the application
cd as well, this step is optional if you are only using the
languages on windows) Then install the application software
for windows or mac and insert the cd/dvd or mount the image
and run the program.

Long way

The first step to using the rosetta stone software after
starting the torrent and installing the application
is to pick which languages you want to download if you do
not want all of them. Most bittorrent
clients(the program you run to download the torrent) let
you choose not to download some files(the languages you do
not want) or pick which files to download(the languages you
DO want).

After you have decided you also need to make sure you
download the proper image files from the torrent, to find
out which images you need check the list of languages at the
end of this file. (you could also just get the PCT and PCA
image files if you are feeling lucky, most of the languages
use those two)

You also have to download all the .TRS files and a copy of the
application(the program that runs the language files)
On windows this is in a .rar file called Application_XXXXXX.rar
the XXXXX part is the version number and you can just ignore that.
Extract all the files and run setup.exe or therosettastone.exe.
There are two Application_XXXXX.rar files for windows,
try either one and if you have a problem use the other.
On a Mac just run the Application_VXXXXX.toast file.

Next you have to open the .Rar archive files for the languages
and images you need and extract the files inside to a folder(just
make a new one anywhere and remember where it is, we will be using
it alot), these will be folders named like XXX##_## where X are
letters and # are numbers.

The last files you need are CATMPC.TRS CDID.TRS and Credits.TRS, copy them to
the same folder and the language and image files/folders.
MACintosh users also need to copy the files from the application cd(.toast image)
to the folder.

The folder with all the files in it should look like the one in
the "sample_image.jpg" picture. (the picture should be in the same
folder as this document)

The last step is to take all the files in the folder and either burn
them to a CD or DVD you can use when you want to use the languages or
if you know how, make a CD/DVD image file with a program like MagicISO
or Nero and mount the file to use the languages. Both of those options
can be complicated so I will leave the details out of these instructions
if you need help theres lots of information online if you google or search
for "how to burn a CD or DVD" or "how to make a dvd image", or "how to
mount and image file".

and look at the end of the line for the associated picture files
for example if you want image files for English(US) Level I it says you need
PCT01..08 images so you would need to download "PCT01-08(jpg).rar"

With my sire hell-bent on turning me into a soulless killer and his sworn enemy set to exterminate me, things couldn't get much worse -- except I'm attracted to them both.

Drinking blood, living as an immortal demon and being a pawn between two warring vampire factions isn't exactly how I'd imagined my future. But as my father used to say, the only way to conquer fear is to face it. So that's what I'll do. Fangs bared.

The Fates, three elusive sisters, are the rulers of this otherworldly dimension, and they have a job for Eve. If she can defeat a demonic Nix who's wreaking havoc in the human realm by inducing people to kill, she'll earn her wings—literally. The catch: she can't capture the Nix without the powers that angelhood affords. Eve surmounts this hurdle by teaming up with a hunky and humanlike angel named Trsiel, but her quest, which is fraught with obstacles as well as unnecessary distractions, is lengthy and meandering. In addition, Eve's kick-butt-ask-questions-later attitude, while amusing, can be wearying, and the rules of Armstrong's alternate world seem conveniently changeable. Still, those who appreciate heroines with a good measure of spunk, sass and strong-arm savvy will find this a fun if fitful read.

Filled with romance and supernatural intrigue, this book will surely remind readers of Anne Rice's sophisticated refurbishings of the vampire story.

Alfred Hitchcock and The Three Investigators

The Three Investigators was a popular American juvenile detective book series first published as "Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators." It was created by Robert Arthur, Jr., who believed using a famous figure like movie director Hitchcock would attract attention.

The original series ran from 1964 to 1987 and comprised 43 books. Books number 1 to 9 and 11 were written by the creator, Robert Arthur, who also sketched out ideas for a few of the other stories. Arthur had been an editor for several Hitchcock book collections. The other authors were William Arden (Dennis Lynds), Nick West (Kin Platt), M(ary). V(irginia). Carey, and Marc Brandel (born Marcus Beresford). All of the authors wrote their own introductions and epilogues, which purportedly were dictated by Hitchcock.

In the original series, the specific ages of the investigators were never revealed, but context indicates that they were likely 13 or 14 years old. They were not old enough to drive, but were said to be just a few years younger than their nemesis Skinny Norris, who had a driver's license. On one occasion it was mentioned that Pete was on the high school wrestling team.

The investigators were typically introduced into a mystery through a client or by accidentally stumbling upon something unusual. The boys encountered baffling, sometimes misleading clues and danger before finally solving the crime. A major strength of the series was that the boys had to work to find and understand clues, unlike other contemporary series in which serendipity and coincidence played a frequent role. The last chapter of each book was an epilogue in which the investigators sat with Alfred Hitchcock (and later, Hector Sebastian), reviewing the mystery and revealing the deductions through the clues shown earlier in the book.

Rebecca's Dream: The story begins as we meet Rebecca Casey, a 28-year-old Boston working woman, who dreams of becoming a singer. OK...Here they are. I spent all weekend making them. I have 6 languages now but will have more later. Each language is in its own separate portable. Most people only study one language at a time.

They were all made in a "clean" XP environment. They all work perfectly. They will save all data, in the "data" folder. If you want it "restarted from scratch", just delete the data folder.

Because of the patch used, when you start it it will say "minor error". This is part of the activation process and should be ignored.

After doing some testing, this will not work with vista. I think it would of had to been created in that environment.

If you have ANY problems with it, please let me know.

She recognizes the method of slaughter as imitating the very crime she was to address that night--suddenly her life as armchair sleuth assumes an eerie reality. The murderer continues to claim victims, each in the style of a different historical killer. Roe herself becomes a target, and also attracts two admirers, Robin Crusoe, a famed mystery writer new to Lawrenceton, and club member/detective Arthur Smith.
