Benjamin Disraeli once said that “Life is too short to be little” and when you think about Schwartz’s work, that one quote might be the best motto for him. In doing his research for The Magic of Thinking big, what Schwartz found out was that rather than there being too many leaders in the world, the opposite was actually true. More leaders are needed and therefore rather than being something that is tied to talent, luck or circumstance, success is far more a choice than anything else. Some people choose to lead while others choose to follow and Schwartz was able to tie this element of choice to the success of some of the biggest people in the world at that time.

People that are successful in life, according to Schwartz, are people that take time out of their day to do thinking in solitude and they are people that make sure to think big and act big at all times. This is the type of thought and action that is required to become successful in today’s world and Schwartz had the blueprint for success down almost forty years ago. This is why he is thought of as being one of the best self-help gurus to ever live and this is of course why his book The Magic of Thinking Big is still something that is read by every aspiring person that wants to be successful today.
