In "Schritt für Schritt"-Anleitungen erfährt der (noch unbedarfte) Leser, was zu tun ist -- und erhält auch Hinweise zu Lösungen, falls es einmal nicht so klappt, wie es sollte.

Insgesamt zehn weitere Kapitel befassen sich dann mit den Besonderheiten dieser Walldorfer Software -- von der Architektur und Technologie bis hin zu Spezialfragen wie Drucken oder der Kommunikation und dem Online-Support. Viele Screenshots, eine klare Gliederung im Text und eine übersichtliche Gestaltung machen das Buch für den praxisorientierten Lernprozess zu einem guten Hilfsmittel. Die Kapitel sind modular aufgebaut und können so gezielt für die jeweilige Fragestellung herangezogen werden. Fragen und Antworten am Ende jedes Kapitels sind geeignet, den erlernten Stoff zu vertiefen und eventuell noch einmal nachzulesen.

Gut: Die Autoren verwenden eine klare Sprache und eine flüssige Syntax. So ist das Buch leicht lesbar und bei der Arbeit direkt am Computer von hohem Gebrauchswert. Eine Dokumentation auf CD-ROM unterstützt zudem die Arbeiten mit dem R/3-System. Fazit: Ein sehr hilfreiches und gut gemachtes Werk auch für Mitarbeiter in den Fachabteilungen, die für ihre Aufgaben die Walldorfer Standardsoftware einsetzen (werden). --Horst-Joachim Hoffmann

The reading level of the book is accessible to any undergraduate student.
