Akrasia is an old question dealing with the weakness of the will. To behave "akratically" is when one acts against his better judgement, committing acts that are known to be wrong but yet still going through with the motion. Markus Lonebrink wanted to explore not so much the philosophical issues at hand, but rather the subjective experience of akrasia itself. To learn of the underlying motives of when one acts akratically. Certain events in the akratic process felt natural to him and it was those he tried to integrate into these soundscapes. There are no conclusions described in the music, but there might be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and perhaps the shadow of a hint of why we humans sometimes act as irrationally as we do. A shared quest to gain better knowledge of oneself through this self-revisionistic ambient journey filled with ethereally lush passages that give way to a truly visionary and immersive experience.
The album also features a special collaboration with Pär Bostrom of KAMMARHEIT.

Gordon Chambers is no stranger to the music industry. In fact, he has been writing songs since the age of 7, which clearly explains why this album is nothing but HEAT! The Teaneck, New Jersey native is currently signed to L.A. Reid's prestigious Hitco Music publishing company where has written for over 60 recording artists, including household names Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Usher, Brandy, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and Marc Anthony. In a tree farm, three musically inclined chipmunks, Alvin, Simon and Theodore, find their tree cut down and sent to Los Angeles. Once there, they meet the frustrated songwriter David Seville, and despite a poor house wrecking first impression, they impress him with their singing talent. Seeing the opportunity for success, both human and chipmunks make a pact for them to sing his songs. Will Smith is one of the few rappers who remains to be true by not giving into the “negative angry rapper” persona. From the beginning in 1987 to the present, he produces hit after hit without promoting a destructive message, and most important “keeps it clean”. I have grown up listening to DJ Jazzy Jeff & Smith’s work since I was young and was elated to hear all my favorite songs on one disc. He was one of the few rapper my mother allowed me to hear in our home, and many people has not given this rapper his proper props. If you enjoy his work you will enjoy is complication package. My favorites songs are, “Parents don’t understand”, “Summertime” (an endless classic), and “Freak It”, (but I loved every track from this Disc) Will summed it up with a verse about his career, and I thought it was hot (more…)

Michael Giacchino is the rare composer who’s graduated from video games (including the Medal of Honor series) to high-profile big-screen fare (The Incredibles). But the most important aspect of Giacchino’s career may well be his collaboration with writer-director-producer J.J. Abrams, for whom he’s scored Mission: Impossible III and the television hits Alias and Lost.
