The many recordings of keyboardist/composer Danny Wright are difficult to classify. He specializes in three distinct music styles: adult contemporary compositions, Broadway show tunes and movie themes, and classical music. His original compositions tend to be in the adult contemporary mode and are frequently inspired by classical composers such as Beethoven, Pachelbel and Debussy as well as by such Broadway greats as Gershwin, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jerome Kern and Stephen Sondheim. Wright was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. He began playing piano at age four. He then studied classical piano under Dr. Harris Cavender for ten years. While studying, Wright demonstrated a gift for improvising in the exact style he was playing and he has used this talent for making each piece uniquely his. Later he won a full scholarship to Christian University where he studied music education. He dropped out of school at age 22 to begin his professional career. Wright began composing his own music in 1985. With Dori and Bob Nichols, he founded the label Nichols-Wright Records (later Moulin D'Or Recordings) to release his own albums. He made his recording debut with Black and White, (1986) which was first marketed to a select group of friends, relatives, and restaurant patrons. It took two years, but eventually the Nichols' got local Dallas/Fort Worth radio stations to play Wright's songs. For his first cd, I would say that Danny was more than ready. It appears that he was past due to join the ranks of a recording star. This cd features a mixture of songs. It offers something for just about everybody. If you love classical music there is some of it here. How about show tunes? Well there are some of this music here. What about movie music? Right on, it's here also. The concept of this cd was brilliant. I think most people will like these performances. Danny, in my opinion, did a good job, especially for a debut cd. I just wish some of the other cds that I have in my collection by him would have turned out so good like this cd. I would like to offer a strong recommendation for piano lovers to buy this cd.

Search and download images. GrabJPG has a built-in image search engine and a picture ripper. The program knows how to find images and how to find them fast. You tell the program what you want, e.g. with a keyword. Type “moon” and you get images of the moon. You can also ask for all images of a site or crawl multiple sites following links.

Afgelopen weekend was er weer een mega markt in de IJ-Hallen te Amsterdam en ikzelf ben daar niet naartoe geweest, maar mijn vrouw wel.

Lira -Feel Good [2007]Lerato "Lira" Molapo teamed up with keyboardist Victor Mngomezulu, bassist Tshepo Sekele, and producer Robin Kohl and in 2006 released Feel Good, a much more accomplished work that revealed her as a talented artist, able to move easily from modern R&B to jazz, from lush pop to bossa. A huge success, it led to five nominations at the South African Grammy Awards (Best New Artist, Best Female Artist, Best R&B Album, Best Single, and Best Video). In July 2007 the album was released in Italy, where its title track gained some massive airplay.

Massive new double CD set from this powerhouse Japanese underground duo whose fully obliterated guitar psych moves have illuminated the post-PSF scene. There’s a heavy Nijiumu/early Fushitsusha feel to much of the dynamic here, with solo choral vocals accompanied by nothing but the clank of chains and thrumming single notes. With more than two hours of studio recordings collected here, the group dig deep into the kind of black static sound most associated with the whole Tokyo Flashback aesthetic, with twin guitars working languid flames high into the air.

The Cherry Smash are yet another band I belatedly became acquainted from a long out of print compilation, namely,
Pure Spun Sugar, released all the way back in '98. I'm including their brilliant comp song, "Split Screen," as a bonus to the one and only single I have by the band.
Sounding like a byproduct of the '90s indie rock scene and the waning shoegazer movement of the time (wish they'd included a copyright date, sorry folks) The Smash deliver melodious, chiming guitar pop, a la Fudge and Small Factory...if that means anything to you of course. While "Split Screen" is the song that sold me on Cherry Smash,
West Coast Rip-offs A-side, "Nowhere Generation," clocks in at a very close second. The B-side features two numbers. "You Made Me Hate the Beach Boys," kicks off with a bizarre mangling of the of the actual Beach Boy classic "Good Vibrations," before giving way to Cherry Smash's ultra lo-fi original composition, ostensibly recorded to a boom box. The follow-up cut, "Airport Girl," is crunchy and fuzz-laden as-all-get-out.
