How To make Great Conversation And Small Talks
Being A Success Ltd | ISBN-13- 9780071600279 | English | PDF | 416 KB | 99 Pages
Welcome to
HOW TO MAKE GREAT CONVERSATION & SMALL TALK!
I hope you have as much enjoyment in reading this fantastic product and in benefiting from the techniques and strategies inside as I did when putting it together.
The art of conversation is a lost skill in my opinion!
People are far too busy nowadays to take the time to really communicate with anyone.
Instead people just take it in turns talking and are too busy of thinking of what to say that they don’t really listen to the other person.
Hence you just get the same old:
PERSON A
“I did this, this and this and then we went here and there and did that and this and then I did….”
….and then it’s your turn!
YOU
“Oh, that’s great. I did this, this and this………
Argghhhhhhhh!!!!
This is not communicating, this is playing verbal tennis and the match doesn’t last very long either!
…….and then the dreaded silence appears when you have both exhausted yourself about talking and ME ME ME!
You are both looking at each other, both feeling uncomfortable – hoping, no praying, that the other person will say something first!
Well this e-book is all about providing you with the tools, techniques and strategies to start conversations and continue them!
I will show you specific phrases to use and when to use them.
Soon you will be a communications and small talk master!
Please bear in mind that no one is born with excellent communications skills.
You don’t just appear out of your mother’s womb with the gift of the gab – having said that some of the people I have met think…….
I digress!
No instead, all skills can be learned over time.
What I’d like you to do is to try the recommendations that I make in this e-book but please do not try to do everything at once!
Your mind will turn to mush if you do!
Instead, take one or two techniques at a time and try them out at work, with your friends and your business associates.
Find out what works for you and what doesn’t.
I can now make conversation and small talk with anyone from any background – I am quite famous for it!
However, this wasn’t always the case – I have built up my skill over time and it now it’s your turn to do the same.
So in closing, I would just like to thank you once again for your support, enjoy this publication and I would just love to hear your successes along the way.
Just drop me an email – I’d love to hear from you.
Take care and god bless
Sean McPheat

Pro Java™EE Spring Patterns
Apress | ISBN-13- 978-1-4302-1009-2 | English | PDF | 2.44 MB | 345 Pages
Introduction
This book combines the Java EE design patterns with the Spring Framework. The Java EE design pattern catalog provides an invaluable reference for any Java EE application design and architecture. The Spring Framework, on the other hand, is the de facto standard for Java EE. Spring, with its inherently simple programming model and emphasis on object design best practices, has helped revive and increase the adoption of the Java EE platform. I have been using the Spring Framework in combination with design patterns to build Java EE applications for a long time now. This book is an effort to document a catalog of frequently used design strategies with the Spring Framework, which is relevant in the context of the latest Java 5 EE specifications. I am sure this book will be a reference for designers and developers who are interested in building enterprise applications with Java EE and the Spring Framework.
Who This Book Is For
This book is primarily meant for Java EE application designers and architects. Experienced developers with knowledge of the Java EE design patterns and the Spring Framework will also find this book immensely useful.
How This Book Is Structured
This book is structured in a very simple way. Chapter 1 starts with an introduction to the fundamental concepts in enterprise application architecture. It analyzes various architectural styles in distributed computing, and it introduces UML as the tool for the visual representation of application design. Chapter 2 introduces the Spring Framework and its role in building enterprise Java applications. This chapter also highlights the design pattern template that will be used in the next four chapters. Chapter 3 explains the design problems in the presentation tier and presents solutions with the Spring MVC framework. Chapter 4 elaborates on the business tier design patterns. This chapter also shows Spring’s support for simplifying EJB development.

Electrician's Troubleshooting and Testing Pocket Guide
McGraw-Hill | ISBN-13- 0-07-148782-4 | English | PDF | 2.55 MB RAR Compressed | 241 Pages | No Password
Electrical measuring and testing instruments are used in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems of all types, particularly in commercial and industrial facilities. Electricians and technicians involved with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment need a good working knowledge of portable testing instruments and how they are used to diagnose and fix problems in the field. Most operational problems of electrical equipment and systems involve one of four basic faults:
1.Short circuit
2.Ground fault
3.Open circuit
4.Change in electrical value
This guide describes troubleshooting techniques to identify such problems using portable field-testing instruments. Although it covers many types of test equipment, this book emphasizes the use of digital multimeters (DMMs), the most common and versatile electrician’s diagnostic tool. This new third edition of Electrician’s Troubleshooting and Testing Pocket Guide includes updated information Click here for terms of use. on testing and troubleshooting lighting systems, expanded information on diagnosing power quality problems, and a new chapter on thermographic diagnostic tools.
Scope of This Book
Electrician’s Troubleshooting and Testing Pocket Guide covers the use of digital multimeters (DMMs) and other testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits used for power and control applications. In general, it concentrates on traditional electromechanical and inductive equipment found in commercial and industrial occupancies—motors, transformers, lighting, and power distribution equipment. In general, this guide does not cover testing and troubleshooting of the following types of equipment and systems:
Communications systems. The use of network cable analyzers, optical time domain reflectometers (OTDRs), optical power meters, and other equipment used for testing and troubleshooting communications systems such as telecommunications, computer local area networks (LANs), and outside plant fiber-optic installations are outside the scope of this publication.
Electronic components and systems. This book touches on testing of electronic components such as resistors, small capacitors, and diodes. However, the broad subject of troubleshooting electronic components and circuits using digital multimeters and other viiiportable test equipment is covered in much greater detail in a different McGraw-Hill publication:

Success Driven Philosophy
English | PDF | 707 KB | 16 Pages
How will thiS ManifeSto helP you?
This manifesto will facilitate your philosophical examination as you iron out what you believe and why you believe it. We do this by providing a philosophical toolkit, as well as a framework for considering the principal areas of philosophy. Ancient Greek philosophers had a concept they called “arete”. It is often translated as “excellence” or “virtue”, but Brian Johnson of ThinkArete says it’s better defned as “constantly striving to reach your highest potential”. This manifesto will bring you closer to arete.
Consider these benefts:
1.Defne your own success. 1
Whether you choose to focus on goal-driven success or being-driven success, philosophical examination can help you achieve it. By understanding what you truly believe, you will choose the right S.M.A.R.T* goals and the methods of living and being your highest self. *(Specifc, Measurable, Action-oriented, Relevant and Time-Bound)
2.Develop conviction in yourself.
Consider that the great leaders of every feld display a great deal of conviction in their thoughts and actions. To become a leader you must develop conviction in yourself and your beliefs, hich can only be accomplished through intellectual struggle.
3.Make better decisions about your life.
Life often throws hard choices at you and provides no clear solution. When you fgure out what
you value most and what you know is true, you are better equipped to make the right call.
4.Enrich your intellect.
Thinking about philosophy is a great way to keep your mind sharp, develop your critical-thinking,analysis and communication skills. No great philosopher was ever accused of being an idiot.
5.Finally, fnding your own philosophy gives you a better grasp of an age-old question. What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? We can’t answer that question for you, but we can help you fgure it out.
Final note: A lot of people think that philosophy is something done by “philosophers”, with nothing better to do than sit around and ask a lot of strange and useless questions like “What is reality?” and “What is ethical?” But the fact is, you do have a worldview and a concept of morality. You believe that certain things are right and wrong, or good and bad. You have a way of fguring out what is true or false, and what is real or illusion, but better understanding and systematizing those methods will further allow you to fully and clearly articulate your beliefs and ease the road to success.
Don’t you owe it to yourself to fnd out what you really think?
The most important thing is to fnd a balance between your own happiness and your efect on the world (other people’s happiness)

Secure-Computer and Network Systems Mar.2008
Secure Computer and Network Systems Modeling Analysis and Design .Mar.2008
John Wiley & Sons Ltd | ISBN-978-0-470-02324-2 | English | PDF | 1.82 MB RAR Compressed | 356 Pages | No Password
Preface
Computer and network technologies have empowered us and transformed our business and life inmany ways. However, our increasing dependence on computer and network systems has also exposed us to a wide range of cyber security risks involving system vulnerabilities and threats to our assets and transactions on those systems. Computer and network security is concerned with availability, con?dentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, trust, and many other aspects of computer and network assets which may be compromised by cyber attacks from external and insider threats through exploiting system vulnerabilities. The protection of computer and network security must cover prevention to reduce system vulnerabilities, detection to identify ongoing cyber attacks that break through prevention mechanisms, and response to stop and control cyber attacks, recover systems and correct exploited system vulnerabilities.
SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE BOOK
This book presents a collection of the researchwork that I have carried outwithmy students and research associates in the past ten years to address the following issues in protecting computer and network security:
1. Prevention
(a) How to enhance the architecture of computer and network systems for security protection through the speci?cation and enforcement of digital security policies, with the following research outcome:
(i) An Asset Protection-Driven Security Architecture (APDSA) which is developed based on a proactive asset protection-driven paradigm of security protection, in comparison with the threat-driven security protection paradigmthat is often adopted in existing security products.
(b) How to manage the admission control, scheduling, reservation and execution of computer and network jobs to assure the service stability and end-to-end delay of those jobs even under Denial of Service attacks or overwhelming amounts of job demands, with the following research outcomes:
(i) A Batch Scheduled Admission Control (BSAC) method to reduce the variability of job waiting time for service stability, in comparison with no admission control in the existing best effort service model that is commonly adopted on computers and networks but is a major system vulnerability exploited by Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
(ii) Several job scheduling methods to schedule the service of jobs on single or multiple computer/network resources for service stability, including the Weighted Shortest Processing Time –Adjusted (WSPT-A)method, theVeri?ed Spiral (VS)method, the Balanced Spiral (BS) method, and the Dynamic VS and BS methods, in comparison with the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method used in the existing best effort model which can be exploited by DoS attacks.
(iii) Instantaneous Resource reSerVation Protocol (I-RSVP) and a Stable Instantaneous Resource reSerVation Protocol (SI-RSVP) that are developed to allow job reservation and service for instantaneous jobs on computer networks for the end-to-end delay guarantee to those jobs, in comparison with the existing Resource reSerVation Protocol (RSVP) based on the Integrated Service (InteServ) model to provide the end-to-end delay guarantee for computer and network jobs with continuous data ?ows; and the existing Differentiated Service (DiffServ) model.
2. Detection
(a) How to achieve the accuracy and earliness of cyber attack detection when monitoring the observed data from computers and networks that contains much noise due to the mixed data effects of an attack and ongoing normal use activities, with the following research outcomes:
(i) the attack norm separation methodology, in comparison with two conventional methodologies of cyber attack detection: signature recognition and anomaly detection.
(ii) the cuscore detection models that are used to perform cyber attack detection based on the attack norm separation methodology, in comparison with
the Arti?cial Neural Network (ANN) models based on the signature recognition methodology;
the univariate Statistical Process Control (SPC) technique, the Exponential WeightedMovingAverage (EWMA) control charts, and theMarkov chainmodels of event transitions, which are developed based on the anomaly detection methodology;
the multivariate SPC technique, the Chi-Square Distance Monitoring (CSDM) method based on the anomaly detection methodology.
(iii) the Clustering and Classi?cation Algorithm – Supervised (CCAS) which is a scalable data mining algorithm with the incremental learning capability to learn signature patterns of attack data and normal use data, in comparison with
conventional clustering methods, such as hierarchical clustering,
conventional data mining algorithms, such as decision trees.
(b) Howto discover and identify subtle features and characteristics of attack data and normal use data which are the basis of de?ning the accurate attack and normal use data models to develop attack detection models based on the attack norm separation methodology, with the following research outcomes:
(i) the statistical methods of extracting the mean, probability distribution and autocorrelation features of attack data and normal use data;
(ii) themathematicalmethod of extracting the time-frequencywavelet feature of attack data and normal use data;
(iii) the statistical and mathematical methods of uncovering attack data characteristics and normal use data characteristics in the mean, probability distribution, autocorrelation and wavelet features;
(iv) the illustration and summary of the uncovered attack data characteristics of eleven representative attacks, including:
the Apache Resource DoS attack
the ARP Poison attack
the Distributed DoS attack
the Fork Bomb attack
the FTP Buffer Over?ow attack
the Hardware Keylogger attack
the Software Keylogger attack
the Remote Dictionary attack
the Rootkit attack
the Security Audit attack using Nessus
the Vulnerability Scan attack using NMAP.

How To Stop Worrying And Start Living
English | PDF | 1.35 MB | 239 Pages
Preface
How This Book Was Written-and Why
Thirty-Five years ago, I was one of the unhappiest lads in New York. I was selling motortrucks for a living. I didn't know what made a motor-truck run. That wasn't all: I didn't want to know. I despised my job. I despised living in a cheap furnished room on West Fifty-sixth Street-a room infested with cockroaches. I still remember that I had a bunch of neckties hanging on the walls; and when I reached out of a morning to get a fresh necktie, the cockroaches scattered in all directions. I despised having to eat in cheap, dirty restaurants that were also probably infested with cockroaches. I came home to my lonely room each night with a sick headache-a headache bred and fed by disappointment, worry, bitterness, and rebellion. I was rebelling because the dreams I had nourished back in my college days had turned into nightmares. Was this life? Was this the vital adventure to which I had looked forward so eagerly? Was this all life would ever mean to me-working at a job I despised,
living with cockroaches, eating vile food-and with no hope for the future? ... I longed for leisure to read, and to write the books I had dreamed of writing back in my college days. I knew I had everything to gain and nothing to lose by giving up the job I despised. I wasn't interested in making a lot of money, but I was interested in making a lot of living. In short, I had come to the Rubicon-to that moment of decision which faces most young people when they start out in life. So I made my decision-and that decision completely altered my future. It has made the last thirty-five years happy and rewarding beyond my most Utopian aspirations. My decision was this: I would give up the work I loathed; and, since I had spent four years studying in the State Teachers' College at Warrensburg, Missouri, preparing to teach, I would make my living teaching adult classes in night schools. Then I would have my days free to read books, prepare
lectures, write novels and short stories. I wanted "to live to write and write to live".
What subject should I teach to adults at night? As I looked back and evaluated my own college training, I saw that the training and experience I had had in public speaking had been of more practical value to me in business-and in life-than everything else I had studied in college all put together. Why? Because it had wiped out my timidity and lack of confidence and given me the courage and assurance to deal with people. It had also made clear that leadership usually gravitates to the man who can get up and say what he thinks I applied for a position teaching public speaking in the night extension courses both at Columbia University and New York University, but these universities decided they could struggle along somehow without my help.I was disappointed then-but I now thank God that they did turn me down, because I started teaching in Y.M.C.A. night schools, where I had to show concrete results and show them quickly. What a challenge that was! These adults didn't come to my
classes because they wanted college credits or social prestige. They came for one reason only: they wanted to solve their problems. They wanted to be able to stand up on their own feet and say a few words at a business meeting without fainting from fright. Salesmen wanted to be able to call on a tough customer without having to walk around the block three times to get up courage. They wanted to develop poise and self-confidence. They wanted to get ahead in business. They wanted to have more money for their families. And since they were paying their tuition on an installment basis-and they stopped paying if they didn't get results-and since I was being paid, not a salary, but a percentage of the profits, I had to be practical if I wanted to eat. I felt at the time that I was teaching under a handicap, but I realise now that I was getting priceless training. I had to motivate my students. I had to help them solve their problems.
I had to make each session so inspiring that they wanted to continue coming.
It was exciting work. I loved it. I was astounded at how quickly these business men developed self-confidence and how quickly many of them secured promotions and increased pay. The classes were succeeding far beyond my most optimistic hopes. Within three seasons, the Y.M.C.A.s, which had refused to pay me five dollars a night in salary, were paying me thirty dollars a night on a percentage basis. At first, I taught only public speaking, but, as the years went by, I saw that these adults also needed the ability to win friends and influence people. Since I couldn't find an adequate textbook on human relations, I wrote one myself. It was written-no, it wasn't written in the usual way. It grew and evolved out of the experiences of the adults in these classes. I called it How to Win Friends and Influence People.
Since it was written solely as a textbook for my own adult classes, and since I had written four other books that no one had ever heard of, I never dreamed that it would have a large sale: I am probably one of the most astonished authors now living.
As the years went by, I realised that another one of the biggest problems of these adults was worry. A large majority of my students were business men-executives, salesmen, engineers, accountants: a cross section of all the trades and professions-and most of them had problems! There were women in the classes-business women and housewives. They, too, had problems! Clearly, what I needed was a textbook on how to conquer worry-so again I tried to find one. I went to New York's great public library at Fifth Avenue and Forty-second Street and discovered to my astonishment that this library had only twenty-two books listed under the title WORRY. I also noticed, to my amusement, that it had one hundred and eighty-nine books listed under WORMS. Almost nine times as many books about worms as about worry! Astounding, isn't it? Since worry is one of the biggest problems facing mankind, you would think, wouldn't you, that every high school and college in the land
would give a course on "How to Stop Worrying"?................................
