This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the 17th International Workshop on Implementation and Applications of Functional Languages, IFL 2005, held in Dublin, Ireland in September 2005. The 13 revised full papers presented went through two rounds of reviewing and improvement and were selected from an initial total of 32 workshop presentations.
