Investment Performance Measurement makes extensive use of fully worked examples that supplement formulas and is a perfect companion to professional courses and seminars for analysts.

Austin Sarat, Lawrence Douglas, Martha Umphrey, "Law on the Screen (The Amherst Series in Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought)"Stanford University Press | ISBN 0804751625 | April 1, 2005 | PDF | 288 Pages | 1.3MB
The proliferation of images of law, legal processes, and officials on television and in film is a phenomenon of enormous significance. Mass-mediated images are as powerful, pervasive, and important as are other early twenty-first-century social forcese.g. globalization, neo-colonialism, and human rightsin shaping and transforming legal life. Yet scholars have only recently begun to examine how law works in this new arena and to explore the consequences of the representation of law in the moving image. Law on the Screen advances our understanding of the connection between law and film by analyzing them as narrative forms, examining film for its jurisprudential contentthat is, its ways of critiquing the present legal world and imagining an alternative oneand expanding studies of the representation of law in film to include questions of reception.

From the Book: In medium-range combative, two opponents are already within touching distance. The arsenal of possible body weapons includes short punches and strikes with elbows, knees, and hands. Head butts are also effective; do not forget them during medium-range combat. A soldier uses his peripheral vision to evaluate the targets presented by the opponent and choose his target. He should be aggressive and concentrate his attack on the opponent's vital points to end the fight as soon as possible.
