Lady Windermere's Fan By Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde's first play confronts the hypocrisy of public 'morality'
compared with genuine, private kindness.
When it opened in 1892, Lady Windermere's Fan was an instant success and now, a century later, it continues to be revived frequently.
The reasons for its popularity are not difficult to identify: the play's witty dialogue contains many of Wilde's most quoted aphorisms, its stylish setting provides opportunities for elegant presentation, and its cast of memorable characters play out a story which is genuinely moving.

This pair of audio plays, adapted by the author from his story collection Smoke & Mirrors, serves as a wonderful introduction to Gaiman's weird fictional world.
"Snow Glass Apples," a diabolical take on "Snow White," introduces vampirism and necrophilia into the tale and features a wicked stepmother who's more victim than evildoer. Narrator Bebe Neuwirth, of Cheers fame, has superb timing.
Equally well produced is "Murder Mysteries", a noirish tale in which Brian Dennehy takes the role of an avenging angel investigating a murder. The play is cleverly scored with sinister music. (Book Magazine)

Incident At Vichy By Arthur Miller
Performed by L. A. Theatre Works (2002)
Duration...1:11:24
Tracks...4
Audio...Stereo 44.1kHz 126-142kbps
Arthur Miller's one act play about a group of men awaiting 'inspection' by German officers inside the Vichy regime is a study of the choices an individual can make against historical forces playing themselves out around him.
Written in 1964, Miller's script recalls a historical period still within the playwright's recent memory, but which simultaneously provides insight into the witch-hunt under McCarthyism in America. In both worlds, the individual is faced with the decision about how to act; either passively to conform in the hope of survival, or to struggle against authority with risk of danger.
