First post and some stats

Hello there,

My name is Aso and am the guy that runs eBooksBay, you may have noticed alot of things are going on from time to time, and I thought it’s time to have a Blog and share some ideas with eBooksBay’s visitors. so here we are and lets begin with some stats related to eBooksBay.

I launched eBooksBay on March 2007, since then I’ve been working on speeding the site up and make it as simple and clean as possible, at the same time I’ve been working on adding more and more sites to the index, hopefully eBooksBay has become the Largest Search Engine for Downloadble eBooks on the Web, as now I’m writting this post there are 589 732 eBooks in our Database, and we are indexing 488 websites all around the web.

And we do index 5 000 eBooks / Week.

So that was about the stats and let me share with you changes I’ve in mind to make in near future,

  • Adding more categories.
  • Making the search more exact and friendly.
  • Add search Suggestions.
  • Finish Add/Remove eBook feature that I intruduced lately, and let you subimt or remove copyrighted eBooks easily.

    This site is great…

    You have done a great job. Just make simple website. Don’t make too attractive it will help users to open site more quickly.

    Hi there,

    first i want to congratulate you.
    Great Job. That’s the best site for finding ebooks around.

    Now, I don’t know if what i want to ask to you is doable, but i would like to know if you can email me the list of the sites you are indexing.
    I’m asking you that for a reason: Your site is great when you know exactly the book you are looking for, but sometimes i’m looking for books on a particular subject and not for one book in particular, like operating systems, or object oriented programming or whatever and some sites have a different “granularity” in their categories, because they are concerned only with IT books or medical books for example…

    So that’s it, i would like to know if you can email me the list.

    Love your site. Wanted to bring this to your attention, though, in case you aren’t aware of it.

    Grammar is spelled Grammer on the site. ??

    Just you know should be “Just so you know” ??
